“Great Start for Great Teachers”

As schools get back into session, Starbucks is helping to kick-off the school year for teachers in our communities. Beginning Monday, September 8, teachers of grades K-12 are invited to their local Starbucks coffee house for a complimentary tall size (12 fl. oz.) cup of Pike Place Roast™ every Monday throughout the month of September.

Educators play an invaluable role in shaping the future of our communities. It is our way of recognizing their contributions by offering teachers a special way to kick-start their first weeks back at school.

In order to receive their complimentary cup of Pike Place Roast™, teachers are asked to provide proof-of-current teacher status – such as a teachers’ federation card or school district badge. The “Great Start for Great Teachers” special offer ends after Monday, September 28.

This is a hoax. My wife is a teacher and she tried it this past Monday.

snurk, this past Monday was still August. The supposed offer is for Mondays in September. Just sayin'...

I am , however, leery of offer as well, given there is no source reference.

Here is a PDF coupon, but I'd still be weary of the offer-this is from another freebie site. No mention of this on Starbucks' site. Google it, and the only mention I've seen is on other freebie sites. Someone very well could have created this on their home PC. As with all of OP's offers - YMMV.

The college professors among us are SOL!

Come on Starbucks - we're teachers too!

Bet any k-12 teacher will trade you - salary for free Starbucks.

IMO, this PDF looks sketchy. It doesn't even have a promo code for baristas to use to promo the free cup. I hope this is a legit promo because teachers do deserve it.

Agree that teachers deserve the coffee (to wash down the Valium! ) But I can't vouch for the validity of the coupon. I doubt it's valid, but who knows?

I called Starbucks corporate directly and spoke to Coleen in customer service. She said that they ARE doing the promotion. You do need teacher id of some kind. (For some people that might be a teacher id, a pay stub, or in my case I have a letter from the school district acknowledging that I home school. Either way, teachers have some kind of id letting people know they are teachers.) Show that at Starbucks, and you'll qualify. This is for K-12 only. If you are a college teacher, you can show your id and talk to the individual store. It is up to their discretion if they want to include college teachers, and some may. However, this particular event is designed for K-12. Just go to the stores nationwide on Mondays all day, and you can order a "tall drip". This does include Canada, and again it goes on throughout the day on Mondays in September. Enjoy!

This is legitimate. I teach and I have gotten the freebie. You don't even need the coupon (at least I didn't) but they do check for credentials. I tried to get them to trade out iced coffee for it but they wouldn't because iced cost more...didn't hurt to ask!

Only one more Monday to use it!!
