So far, the debut full length album from Mieka Pauley "Elijah Drop Your Gun" look really promising. It's been a long time since I've been even minimally interested in any new music, but this voice has something extra. I'm a sucker for female vocalists anyway and this fits the bill -- take a little smouldering Norah Jones, cross with a bit of rocker Sheryl Crow. If she could add a bit of classic bluesy Bonnie Raitt, I might just roll over and die happy.

I saw Micha Pauley live at Mountain Stage (Live NPR radio show) here in Charleston, WV last year and she is a gem. Great find on her CD! I just downloaded it and will be listening on my drive home from work! Thanks, OP!

She was here last weekend and I missed it completely. After downloading the album, I searched for her performance schedule and found that she was 35 miles away -- what rotten luck for me.
