You can order whatever you want. It doesn't have to be coffee. I used it many times. One store near my house never asked for Border card but the one near my office always ask for my card.
Worked for my son and me. She even gave me a card to get a free beverage after buying 7 and stamped 2 already for my free drinks!

I wonder if the FW effect is hitting the DC Borders. When I redeemed this morning, the employees were complaining about seeing lots of this coupon yesterday.
