FILL ‘ER UP FOR THE FOURTH: KFC TOPS OFF GAS TANKS (AND STOMACHS) TO INTRODUCE THE NEW KFC $5 FILL-UP BOX
As millions of Americans hit the road this Fourth of July weekend, KFC is offering travelers (and their wallets) a break. To launch the new KFC $5 Fill-Up Box, Kentucky Fried Chicken created the KFC $5 Fill-Up Sweepstakes to top off Americans’ gas tanks – and their stomachs.

Begin registration below for your chance to win KFC gift checks for a $5 Fill-Up Box and a $10 gas card. The giveaway will be conducted from July 2, 2009 to July 5, 2009 for a randomly determined time period between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. ET. The first 200 people to register during the giveaway will win.

Please note: You must enter all your information AND be one of the first 200 people to enter each day in order to win. By submitting your information, you are indicating your agreement with the $5 Fill-Up Giveaway Official Rules.

Limit one $5 KFC gift check and $10 gas card per e-mail address/household, regardless of number of submittals. Must be at least 18 years old and a legal resident of the 50 United States or District of Columbia to participate. No entries received by automatic devices will be permitted. No purchase necessary.

KFC sucks. This is what they should have given to everyone that drove all aorund trying to redeem the free grilled chicken coupons!

heck, if one is hungry one will eat anything. If my stomach is growling, and theres a half eaten kfc chicken drumstick, or some chicken wing that touched the ground, I might just eat it. its the survival of the hungriest.

i reminded myself of Weird Al's "Just eat it." here

After the last KFC promotion, I will never set foot in a store owned by YUM! Brands again. The last KFC promotion clearly was a case of deception and reflects a corporate culture that I choose to avoid.

The only thing it set off was a bunch of immaturity on the part of so called adult Americans. If you people who continue to whine over missing one free offer on the internet are this immature, you need to find another hobby. Free stuff on the internet is just like buses. There is always another one coming along. What it boils down to is all you missed was couple of bites of chicken flesh, instant potatoes mixed with water,a scoop of canned vegetables, and a glob of flour and water called a biscuit. All washed down with a cup of water mixed with sugar and carbonation. Go find an instant win game online and win some money and buy yourself a REAL meal. The meal will be as free as that unhealthy KFC meal you missed !

Oh well.

I'd imagine the chances of actually getting in on this are slim to none. Burt's Bees recently had a promotion similar to this, only the prize was just a single stick of lip balm, it ran for 30 consecutive days, and they gave away 1,000 lip balms every single day. I refreshed my page one time for that offer seconds after it began, and I still missed it, so I highly doubt I'll get in on a give-a-way by a more well known company like KFC for a $10 gas card with 1/5 of the quantity of prizes per day as Burts Bees.

BTW- Just because you get in soon enough to enter your name and address, doesn't mean you win anything. They don't tell you whether or not you've won after you enter your info. In fact, they opened it at about noon EST today, and about three hours later, 3pm EST, it's still open to anyone who wants to give KFC their birthdate, name, phone number, email and address. Burt's Bees at least had the decency to close it once the maximum entries had been received.
