The OP is right. Even though the link takes you through ad.doubleclick.net and servedby.advertising.com, the direct link won't work for the sample. I have ad.doubleclick.net and servedby.advertising.com in my hosts list so I don't see their advertising ever. I had to temporarily disable them in my host list to get the free sample.

As as side note, everyone should use a host list. It is a list designed to bypass domanin name servers. When you type in a URL such as Fatwallet.com, you request goes to a domain name server which translates the name into the ip address. You computer will check your host list first and if it sees the ip of fatwallet in the host list, it will go directly there. What you do is list all these ad sites but direct them to 127.0.0.1 which is your computer ip. Since they don't exist there, you get a page not found error. Most of the ads you see on websites are not hosted by the website themselves. They are hosted by one of the ad websites. It is so nice and fast to go to websites and not see ads.
