International Music Score Library Project (IMSLP) Thought this was important enough to bring back, since there are hundreds of new works posted.
One of the largest repositories of music scores in the world!!! Save a fortune on your children's music lessons. If you play guitar, piano, any instrument, you'll find music here. From the earliest composers right up into the 20th century. If it's in the public domain, you can download it for free. New material is added all the time.
Welcome to the portal page of the International Music Score Library Project (IMSLP)! We at the IMSLP believe that music should be something that is easily accessible for everyone. For this purpose we have created a music library to provide music scores free of charge to anyone with internet access, with several other projects in planning. IMSLP is also entirely collaborative, and all contributions are greatly welcome.
The Petrucci Music Library is an internet-based collaborative music score library, and is currently the main project. You will find tens of thousands of scores composed by thousands of composers here, all available for free download.
Reply to PM When I used to teach guitar, the sheet music costs were one of the big drawbacks for my students. I had to make copies of some just so they wouldn't be spending $5-10 piece. I'm sure the cost has tripled by now, especially for piano scores. Ask your child's teacher to look at the list and I'm positive they will use the music available. They will also be very grateful. Tell your schools about this program too.
Hard to believe this all free. I found some old classical guitar music, saved me a bundle over buying it at the music store...IF I could have found it. Green for you Rub terrific find!!!!!!!

Green for you Rub terrific find!!!!!!! You can get amazing works that most music stores have to order for you. Ask your or your child's music teacher to assign lessons from the music available here. I would also recommend that you let your school's music instructor know about it. THX for the green
Pass it along to all the parents of children taking piano, guitar, violin. Also, let the music teachers at your schools know. It will save the school districts a bundle.
Thanks for posting this site here. It's by far the best classical sheet music resource on the web. hands down
FYI - It's really a gold mine for ORCHESTRAL scores also, and within the last few months they have been adding a lot of the individual instrument PARTS to to these pieces. (i.e. violin I, II, woodwinds brass etc)
So be sure to share this site with any orchestra musicians & students!
