Thanks OP, got a copy. I'm excited about 64bit excel... but how is a beta version "$100+ value"?

used the value of the non-Beta version so Mods didn't move this to "FREE STUFF"

How long is it going to work for? When does it become blocked?

Sweet. Thanks OP!

October 2010

Thanks OP. Great find. I just finished my windows 7 upgrade 2 minutes ago. Perfect timing.

Thanks dude....I'm in

Exactly how is this a "$100 value"? The beta costs nothing, and you can't get it past October 2010 without paying for it then. There is no value to this other than having the use of the software for about a year. A while there is certainly a benefit to having this for that time, no wya can anyone quantify it as a "$100 value".

It's not like anyone is actually paying $100 for this somewhere else.

Red for a lousy title.

I explained that, but apparently you didn't read the thread. Fat Wallet requires a hot deal to be above $10 in value if it's a "freebie". Since there's no way to attach a dollar value to a BETA version, I used the value of the regular version so the mods don't move this off hot deals. of course some people are too busy finding fault to ever understand anything......

Thanks OP!

good deal for people who just want to download and play with it.. one year limit is not bad...
good find @MISTERCHEAP ....

Very difficult to go back to older version - like office 2003

it's just 'spinning' for me, not loading

So apparently just making things up to get you post into Hot Deals - as opposed to Free Stuff, where it should be - is OK. Yes, I understand that some people only look at the Hot Deals section and don't bother with looking elsewhere. Perhaps if people didn't make stuff up to get everything into Hot deals in the first place, then folks may be in the habit of actually looking in the right places around here.

I won't bother to TC this anymore.

damn... I've installed it and it's working beautifully for the most part, except an add-in package I absolutely need doesn't work. It won't let me have both Office 2007 and Office 2010 (64bit) installed simultaneously either.

ha, won't work with Chrome browser, only IE

I got it via firefox.

Does anyone know if the new office 2010 uses a new file type like they did in 2007, example .docx from .doc? I wonder if I can go back to Office 2007 from 2010 without having to worry about saving my files in compatibility mode come next October.

looks like its compatible (still uses Open XML .docx .pptx, etc...)

Thanks so much, just what I needed!

Thank you, will give it a try
How do I rate posts?

The Office Professional Plus 2010 Beta software is available in the following languages: Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Russian, Spanish

Get started with Microsoft Office Web Apps today. Try out the Office Web Apps beta here.

Love Pivot Table views? Try out the new Microsoft PowerPivot add-in for Excel 2010 Beta.

Thanks! Looking forward to see the new improvements. I thought I remember reading a while back that they would be supporting .odt I wonder if it's supported in this version (yes I know wishful thinking).

3 gigs of free space??? That's ludicrous!

Thanks anyway OP

Why do they recommend 32 bit for 64 bit computers? Is there something wrong with the 64 bit version?

Office 2007 already does that.

Yes, they released a faulty beta and don't want people to use it

But really, that way you can download one version to use on more than one computer no matter what version OS you have.

careful all. Downloading this is what kills society in the year 2012. A Mayan told me!

Thanks! Maybe come back in Oct 2010!

I think that Microsoft should offer a free final version to someone who is willing to beta test it. It only seems fair to me.

should I download "Microsoft Office Pro Plus 2010 BETA free download"? I already have office 2003 pro full version.

Actually, I would defer that the value is probably more than $100, as it is a fairly stable release of an excellent office suite that otherwise would cost you much more. So I have to admit I do not understand the ire against this excellent contribution.

I personally have Office Ultimate 2007, and I find this 2010 version a great improvement.

does this expire?

I downloaded this in firefox and at the very end it said that the file was corrupt. The MS downloader gave me a fatal error.

Do ya reckon that I should try it in another browser or is this a wasted effort?

C'mon how can 1 li'l download hurt a nice computer like yours?? "LUCIFER"

I am obviously not a huge fan of Gates and Co. or never will be.
But, I downloaded this and it seems to work, just fine...

link doesn't work

Hey Thanks a lot for this - Everything went fine - Great Free Stuff

Will everything revert to your original version (in my case, Office 2003) once the beta test is up?
