paid $3.19 after 20% wellness, coupon is valid up to $4.49, so if cashier doesn't alter price, you may get some overage out of it. My cashier entered the $3.19 price, but that's ok. still free.

Did someone use this in a state where manufacturer's coupons are taxable? If so, did the coupon take off tax? Trying to figure out if it is treated like a store or manufacturer's coupon.

Update: tried one store tonight and they did not have the Color Safe variety.

I did get the email and I printed the coupon.. I haven't used it yet, so I don't know if I will get overage or not. I haven't checked to see if my RA's even carry it. I forgot to look today. Thanks for the reminder. I will check tomorrow.

The coupon beeped for the price. Even though cashier entered the correct price (after discount), the coupon still deducted $4.49. It's a $.50 MM even if you have no discount.

As far as the tax (assuming you are in a state that taxes the pre-coupon price), you generally pay tax on the pre-coupon price, but there is one exception. When you use a RC48 +UP (such as one that is mailed from CS) in a particular transaction, it triggers certain other RC49 coupons to also remove tax. Manufacturer's coupons, RC49 in-ad coupons, and RC49 email coupons (such as this one) are always taxed on the pre-coupon price. However regular RC49 +UPs and RC49 VV coupons deduct tax when used in conjuction with an RC48 +UP. Atleast that has been my experience. I generally save my RC48 +UPs for a transaction where I'm using a lot of +UPs and/or a lot of high value VV coupons.
