Actually, it *is* $1.99 +Up. The ad does not show the piece about the limits. Maybe there is a better scan elsewhere. I copy at IHRA is the same with that portion covered.

If you need more, just page back and you can click "get coupon" again. The print limit is *3*. YMMV on it working since I guess the sale item is probably a trial size which is excluded on the coupon.

Home Improvement GC for $10 Reward on $50 card is ok. You can probably use it at Lowes to buy other GCs.

I plan to use the MC gc's I bought at Staples to buy HI gc at RA which I'll use to buy gas gc at Lowe's. Long way around but end up $40 ahead from buying the GC at Staples and > $100 ahead for buying the HI gc at RA. Better than the $50 I would have made just buying the gas outright w/ 5% back cc.

NOPE. This is good at several home improvement stores, but there are limits on the type of items you can use it for. Unless it has changed this year, only home improvement items are approved at the register. I used one last year at Lowe's and Ace.

Still a good deal if you have projects upcoming around the house.

Edit: was referring to the $50 home card/$10 UP rewards deal.

I called the Home Improvement GC customer service line and they told me that there are no fees associated with this card (inactivity or otherwise) and the funds never expire. He said if the card ever expires to call customer service and they can reissue a new gift card at no charge.

I thought that by Federal law, gift cards can no longer expire or have fees? It's just rebate cards that they skipped over in the law.

What is nice about the Home Improvement card is there isn't even an activation fee. The Staples deal this week for the $100 MasterCard/Visa gift card has a $5.95 activation fee, but the limited stores you can use the Home Improvement card is definitely a big downside.

Don't get too excited about the Home Improvement cards..

I bought one that was labeled $20-500. I had them load 20, and did not get the +ups. It is tracking at on the receipt though (along with the iTunes card deal)! So i might just go get another 30, call it a day.

Maybe if you have flat value 20 dollar cards you will have luck..otherwise

You can't reload the card when you return an item? Twice I have used one of the pre-paid MasterCards I got at Staples to pay for something and afterwards, returned the item and they posted a credit to the card for a return with no issues.

Staples can void the transaction so its like the MC gc was never used. RA can't do that cuz the sale went through, the MC gc was "emptied" but the HI card didn't activate. Same thing happened earlier this year when I paid w/ regular cc.

They're in stock and stores don't know that they won't work. This is my 3rd time around. First time I thought it was one store but then same thing happened in several stores. The Arm and Hammer was a good deal. Bought 4 for 12 and got back $10 (2 3's and 2 2's). Used $1/3 man Q, so 4 detergents were for only a buck, which is a steal of a deal as regularly ONE bottle of this liquid detergent costs $6.99 at Rite Aid.

The double dip is not working with the detergent paks. It only works with the 45 or 50 fluid ounce liquid detergents. I bought two of the 45 fluid ounce fresh scent with Oxi Clean Stain Fighters (25 loads) and also two of the 50 fluid ounce clean burst scent (32 loads) and I got the extra $2 +UP for both.

I found Hershey's Aerated candy bars with $.50 RC48 peelies..

Just reporting back that the the 50 fluid ounce For Sensitive Skin (Fragrance Free) (32 loads) variety is also producing the extra +UP...so basically ANY liquid will produce the extra +UP.

NMIMW is citing the T&C. The T&C say you can't use a Staples gc to purchase gc. The register accepts them. I used Staples gc to pay activation fees on gc last week so IMO I didn't use it to pay for the gc itself. However, since the register accepts the Staples gc as payment its a personal choice as to whether you use one to pay for the gc itself. I equate it to using +Up to buy RA gc when the T&C say you can't use +Up to buy gc. I'm not driving to Lowe's as I've done the deal enough but I was just putting it out there as a possibility.

You can't use Lowe's gc to buy gc. You can use HI gc to buy gc cuz its really a re-branded Discover card. Generally you can't use store's gc's to buy other gc just like you *can't* use Staples gc's to buy other gc but you can use the MC/VC gc to buy other gc including MC/VC gc. You can't go down but not up the food chain, kwim?
That's what I thought too. But I have read many FWers saying that they were able to purchase GC using Lowe's GC (not HI card). So I'm wondering how they are able to do it.
