Other Notes

*The Loreal Skin Care products qualify for the 50th anniversary UP promotion. If you want to be sure, go here [ra50.com] and click on the "Beauty Care" section. In ad coupon even has red $ symbol. In addition to the rebate, the cheap Loreal cleansers and towelettes make great filler items towards the promotion.

Buy 1 Loreal Youth Code cleanser = $6.39 (gold). Use $1/1 IP or Q and $5/1 in ad Q = $0.39. Buy 2 Loreal Youth Code cleanser @ $6.39 (gold) = $12.78. Use $3/2 IP and 2 $5/1 in ad Q = $0.22 overage so coupons will need to be adjusted down.

*The cheap Loreal cleansers and towelettes are probably going to be limited in stock. My store only has 5 of each product.

*I did this rebate last year. Paid with coupons and UPs. Didnt black out anything on my receipt and got the full rebate amount back.

Just back from Rite Aid...unfortunately they don't carry the Greek Honey Crunch variety of Honey Bunches of Oats.

The IPQ for ID gums says redeemable at WalMart. Will it beep at other stores?

No

sameome said:   The IPQ for ID gums says redeemable at WalMart. Will it beep at other stores?

no

no but cashier might balk at accepting it. Use it with several other coupons so it doesn't stand out. Its completely legit use but some cashiers don't understand that.

YMMV but when you are doing the Post deal today be on the lookout for Post Great Grains cereal. Yesterday when I was scouting out for this deal beforehand, I noticed at one store they had several boxes of Hearty Grains with $1.00 freshness peelies on them. I assume they are also part of this week's sale.

Red Vines is listed as one of the $1.99 sale candy on page 10. There's a monthly $1up for 16oz, limit of 2 I think.

I bought 4 sure deodorant and only received 2 $2+Ups so I am guessing the b1g1 is why it didn't trigger the additional +Ups. Brut and Sure also count towards the 50AP.

It is interesting how that works, sometimes when they are B1G1 free you get +UPs for the free one (case in point, the Pentel deal from a week or two ago), but in some cases you don't. Doesn't make a heckuva lot of sense. Thanks for unknowningly "taking one for the team." I will update the OP to warn others.

Not a problem since I actually use the product and had some +Ups to roll. I am still watching the tracking for the 50AP and my total doesn't make a lot of sence either. I plan on calling cs regarding the sharpie's and will post results.

I thought deal was buy 2 get 2 $2+Up? That's the way BOGO w/ monthly deals have worked in the past, ie w/ sharpies. Limit is 2 so buying 4 wouldn't get you 4 +Up.

I was pretty sure that the discussion I read on the other site was from people doing it last week, but I could be mistaken. It seemed to be working in some areas but not others.

did you use the 4 * $1 coupon along with this?

Mine got kicked off after MQ was scanned, but I will go back and buy more without using any MQ. Is that true if you use any L'Oreal MC or just a coupon that applies to it? I.e., if you buy 3 and use a $3/2, will the $2 L2C apply?

I *think* his point was that he got overage because the free milk coupon took off $3.99 and not $3.19.
My cashier didn't know how to handle the milk coupon so AM did it, printed out receipt saw the milk was $2.39 and carefully put the coupon in for $2.39. No overage for me.
I only had one insert w/ the cereal coupons so I got 1 Shredded Wheat, 1 Grape Nuts, 2 Great Grains and a gallon of milk.
Used $1/1 Shredded Wheat, $1/1 Grape Nuts (both from 1-13 SS), 2 $1/2 Post Cereals from flu book and the free milk wyb 4 healthy Post cereals coupon.
Paid $6 in +Up, got back $2, $2. So $2 net for the milk & 4 cereal because I didn't have more cereal coupons.
I would have been buying milk anyway so the way I look at it is that I saved $0.39 on milk and got 4 boxes of cereal in the process.

not sure but I think using any manufacturer coupon will kick out the L2C. I bought Loreal during the first week of RA50 using the $3/2 ip from Loreal site. Was hoping the L2C would come off too but it didn't. I spoke w/ CS about it but they didn't offer to compensate me for it.

That should work. You just need one L'oreal product that doesn't have a MQ attached to it. So if you buy 3, the $3/2 will attach to 2 products and you'll still have a product for the $2 L2c to attach to.

A few weeks back, I bought the InStyle Magazine as part of a SavingStar deal. There was a $2 MQ and a $2 L2C. I attempted to check out the first time and when the $2 MQ was scanned the total didn't change at all. I voided that transaction and came back 5 minutes later. Same cashier, but this time she couldn't get the coupon to scan and manually entered it so I got both discounts.

So the cheapest brut is $3.49 so 2 would be $3.49 get back (2) $2 so $.51 moneymaker. Sure is $3.29 so 2 would be $3.29 get back (2) $2 so $.71 moneymaker.

I bought 4 sure deodorant and only received 2 $2+Ups so I am guessing the b1g1 is why it didn't trigger the additional +Ups. Brut and Sure also count towards the 50AP.

I thought deal was buy 2 get 2 $2+Up? That's the way BOGO w/ monthly deals have worked in the past, ie w/ sharpies. Limit is 2 so buying 4 wouldn't get you 4 +Up.

The labels at my store yesterday explicitly said "Limit 2" and the $2 +Up was when you buy this item (singular), so this is correct.

And so I only bought 2. Used two old (very old) Sure MQs. Not old enough that they didn't have bar codes, but old enough that they didn't scan because the product had changed significantly. Cashier looked at them, read the "No Expiration Date" line, shook her head, and entered manually. Net of $3.29 -2*.30(MQ) - 2*$2(+Up) = $1.31 MM.

My wife laughs every time I come home and say something like "RiteAid paid me $1.31 to take these two deodorants."

Yes. How true... Once upon a time it was something special to be able to get a product for free, but now most of us are looking for MMs (to cover the tax and then some).

Pentel $4 +Up is still no limit. I don't think Pentel counts towards RA50 so not sure why you're buying unless its because you're in DE.

So to answer your question, it was because I wasn't planning to get up to the $100 as I have not been buying much at RA this month (trying to keep my +Up's down). I really just wanted to make sure I could roll my +Up's. Anyway, went to CT today (where coupons are not taxable) and the first RA I went to had no circulars! They had a few of the L'Oreal and I thought there were enough to do the deal but to be honest should have bought them to have in case I found them at another RA. Then I went to anther RA. They had circulars but none of the cheap L'Oreal products. So I took 6 circulars, then went back to the first store (I should have tried another store in the middle of the two, but my experience was that they were not particularly coupon friendly.

So I get back to store #1 and they only have 4 of the $7.29/7.99 RA products. After considering driving back to the store in the middle, I finally decided to jut buy a $16.99 product, since it would allow me to get the $10 rebate and would end up being free. So I bought them, and much to my surprise, I got the RA50 $20 +Up as a result of buying that item (it put me $12 over and had rung up at $13.59). So, it worked out OK. I could have tried to find them at a NY store for more of the cheaper ones, but I figured it would have cost me another $3 in sales tax since all of the coupons would have been taxable.
