I don't live in Texas, but if you look around and are patient good deals are to be had with newspaper delivery for coupons. In my area (Southern California), they had a promotion (which I do every year) in which you can sign up for an entire year of Sunday only delivery for only two cents. A couple months ago they called me and offered me to get the paper everyday for that same two centa. Never had two cents work so hard for me. That is the Orange County Register.

I also get the Los Angeles Times for "free" by buying my subscription using frequent airline miles. You might see if that s available in your area. I know it is not free as you are using airline miles, but to me it is a good swap as I rarely actually use them to take flights.

no, I'm not sure, so I didn't reply.

and the other issue with Wags rebates from the store purchase, they can take 60 days to come thru (knowing if it was approved or not), making a return hard if you get shot down since so much time has passed by.

What about the mail-in rebate for online purchases, are they any faster, or also take 60 days? I actually bought online last week (since my local store had much higher prices), but am thinking to return and then re-buy them from store this week as they are on sale now. I prefer the store purchase because you can submit rebate online instead of snail mail.

Several years ago, Walgreens used to have monthly mail-in rebates but they discontinued it. Have they brought this back now? How long have been doing the monthly MIR again?

W has brought back these MIRs back on a limited basis for a while, but they seem to be getting more common recently. They are easy to submit online.

Are all the monthly rebates sent in to the same address for processing? I have 4 $10 Register Rewards to burn. I was thinking of buying $40 worth of free after MIR items, but $40 is a lot to lose if they decided only to pay me for my actual OOP.

EDIT: I see they can be submitted online so the address issue is not all that important. Does anyone know if I can buy all the rebate items on a single receipt?

EDIT2: Once again found my answer: You can use one or more receipts. There can be advantages both ways, so do what works for you. It does take a awhile to get the GC. They will not even start to process until the month ends. You can check www.rebateshq.com to monitor the progress of your MIRs
