Some of the Viactiv Calcium Glides are on clearance in my area for $3.49. The ones on clearance are the 50 count berry Glides and the 60 count vanilla Glides. Some of the stores had the clearance signs up, and some were still marked at $8.49, but they all ring up at $3.49.
Use the $3.00 off coupon in the 7 day ad and the $2.00 off coupon in the EasySaver booklet. Both should be on display when you walk in the store. You only need one of each coupon. The register will deduct the amount for each bottle you buy. Note: The 7 Day coupon says Limit 4. The register will let it go through for more than 4 at a time, but if you get a bad cashier they may not let you.
So the deal works like this.... $3.49 Clearance price - $3.00 coupon - $2.00 coupon = -$1.51 per bottle. Now, they're not gonna let you get the overage back in cash, so buy some other stuff to bring your total back above zero. You can even throw in a gift card if you want to, but this is very YMMV. Some cashiers will freak out when you're buying a gift card as well and the total comes out to a dollar =) It's easier to get this to work if you're buying a bunch of merchandise, especially if you have coupons to make it all believable.
Some possible deals to roll this with current Register Rewards offers:
Buy 6 Herbal Essence Trial Size Shampoo/Conditioner: $.99 * 6 = $5.96 (This is YMMV. It's not in the ad, but it generates $12 in Register Rewards for me) Buy 4 Calcium Glides: -$1.51 * 4 = -$6.04 Total: -$.08 You'll need some filler to get above 0. This should generate $12 in Register Rewards
Buy 6 Pantene Trial Size Shampoo/Conditioner: $1.29 * 6 = $7.74 (This is completely legit. It's in the ad, so should generate $12 in Register Rewards) Buy 5 Calcium Glides: -$1.51 * 5 = -$7.55 Total: $.19 This should generate $12 in Register Rewards
Warning: Don't use the Register Rewards to pay for items for which the Register Rewards you're using were generated. New ones won't print.
Could someone tell me what these glides are, are they calcium tablets. And on which page are they listed. I do not have my ESC. Need to check in store. Hope I will be able to locate them in the ad and ESC.
Also, can anyone tell me if taking these calcium glides along with prenatal tablets is advisable. I am planning for IVF within 6 months, hence I am on prenatal tablets. (Sorry for Off topic). Thanks

They are calcium tablets. They are supposedly easier to swallow and have a flavored outside coating that makes them "glide" down when you swallow them. The coupon is on the the next to last page of the ad and on page 19 of the Easy Saver booklet. Can't tell you about taking them with prenatal tablets. I'm giving most of mine to a shelter/food bank.
Hi, I'm brand new, today is my first day and I would like to ask you what register rewards are and also what some of the abbreviations mean, such as: YMMV. Also, I could not find a $2 coupon for Viactiv in the March Easy Saver and if you can help me in any way. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You

Viactiv Coupons:
Page 19 of easy saver book ($2)
Front page of Circular ($3)
Manufacturer Coupon in 3/2 papers ($2)
If you know someone who takes these, even if there's no clearance stock, it's $1.99 per bottle with all coupons above applied which is a great deal.

...and the ESC coupon says "Limit 1 item per coupon."
the ESC takes off $2 per bottle purchased up to 4 CONFIRMED< not limit one!
I've confirmed that there basically is no limit. The register will multiply the coupon by however many bottles you've bought. I've done it with 21 bottles at one store. I used the overage for a Shell gift card and some other junk. The only limit is one that the cashier might try to impose based upon the wording of the coupon. They also might figure out that the coupons generate overage and try to stop the deal because of that. Most cashiers probably won't care and will just scan the coupons and let you go on your way. This is why it's YMMV. Depends on the luck of the draw.

I just got 5 of the 60-ct vanilla glides and they rang up $3.69 each. Both coupons worked fine and took off the correct amount for all 5 ($15.00 and $10.00). Of course I bought some other stuff to compensate for the overage and to avoid getting a negative total.

Considering that they were paying me to buy these, I really didn't care if they were expired or not.

Can someone tell me why OP multiplied the quntity(6) of Herbal essence, Pantene with only 4 and not 6, when he actually says to buy 6 in number. Any reason, or is it that we need to buy 4 instead of 6 to get the $12 RR.

I can't seem to find the $3 coupon in the 7 day ad, might be regional? I wonder if I can print out the coupon from the TX ad and use it in DE...

The $3.00 coupon was on the inside of the back page (bottom corner)of the 7 day ad down here in Tampa. Good luck - I picked this deal up twice down here today!

you can check with your doc but most likely it is fine to have calcium tablets during pregnancy. you should actually be getting about 1200 mg per day (equiv to about 4 glasses of milk) when pregnant. i wouldn't eat it at the same time as the prenatal vit or drink milk with prenat vit because calcium lowers iron absorption; I'd take them at different times.

I looked online at the ad in TX and it was much larger than the one in DE. However, I'll try my printed coupon tomorrow, I had bought a pack using the $2 coupon only and thought it was a good deal.
thanks OP, picked up some tonight. my local walgreens also had the Viactiv chocolate brownie for teens on clearance for $3.49 so that was a treat since I purchased that along with the viactive glides. thanks

Both have some on clearance. The box that I got was chocolate cherry flavor.
The 4 was a typo. That math was right (each was multiplied by 6). I just typed it out incorrectly.

Thanks Nimbusdog, got 12 at once on my 3rd store (first two were all out) good thing they are all near each other.
Wanted to get it with the Pantene but all out at the same store so I just got some Tag Bodysprays that were 3 for $10 and buy 6 and they print out a $12 rewards...sooooooo
6 Tags = $20 Overage-$18 savings from Viactiv
Total of $2 for 6 Tag bodysprays and 12 Viactivs and a $12 rewards printed out.....
I bought four viactiv($3.69 ea) and six trial size pantene($1.39 ea) for a total of $4.02, tax included. No RR printed out, and no, I did not use a RR to pay,I paid by cash. I talked to the manager about this and he basically told me the trial sizes were not included in the sale.(which is BS). He told me I can return the trial sizes back, so I will do so tomorrow. YMMV of course.

Yeah, the trial size of the Pantene should be included. The ad specifically states that the 1.7 ounce size is included. It doesn't say that the Herbal Eseence trial size is included, but those have worked for me as well.

Didn't work, the $3 coupon doesn't scan, the cashier manually took $3 off, and the $2 coupon did not provide any overage, think it just took .49 off (balance of the one box after cashier adjusting for $3 coupon).
Oh yeah baby! Best Walgreens transaction ever for me.
I found the 'Glides marked on clearance as described. Had the two store coupons, plus I also had four $2 mfr. coupons as well. I also got six assorted shampoos and body washes to get the $12 in RR (as described in another Walgreens thread).
Here's how it all added up: Six P&G items for $20 – $8 (mfr. coupons) Four Flavor Glides for $13.96 – $8 (mfr. coupons) – $20 (store coupons) One pack of gum $1.19 (to prevent overage)
Grand total, tax included: 49¢, plus $12 in RR!
Thanks OP, you made my day! (I even went to another store and got four more Flavor Glides, even though I was out of mfr. coupons. Got the Nature Made vitamins on rebate, some assorted fillers, used a mfr. coupon and one of my RR, and this time spent 32¢!)

Thanks for the post. Kind of late in the week, so missed it
The store I shop at was wiped out of everything on day 1. I was told some woman came last Sunday morning (day 1 of the sale) and bought ALL the soaps that generated $4 RRs. and also later the Viactives, they are going to watch her future transactions to avoid a bunch of unhappy customers who never get anything on sale (for free).

All of the Viactiv that were on clearance at one of my Walgreens were gone and the other Walgreens did not have them on clearance (or they were not marked anyways). I did a ton of the Olay deal, but I pre-ordered all of the packages of soap and management kept the cases in the moffice until I came in to buy it(I had 110 coupons so 55 transactions). Best part was there was NO TAX!! It was totally free. I am not sure how it happened but it did!
Will sell the 2 pk packages of soap at my annual neighborhood yard sale for $1.50 each (the old ladies last year fought over the Olay bar soap I had for sale) and I ended up with $400 in Shell gas gift cards. I did use some of the Register Rewards from the razor deal a few weekes ago. I am selling the Phemon razors on eBay for fairly cheaper than others are and people are buying them.
Luckily I searched and found this post before starting a new one, but I wanted to update. Yesterday at a Walgreens in Scottsdale, AZ had the Viactiv Glides marked down to $2.12 on clearance. The 7-day ad had a $3.00 off coupon (limit 4), and the 5/11/08 P&G had a $2.00 off coupon for this size. I was buying extra stuff so wasn't worried about going into the negative, but I had the vitamins figured at $8.48 - $12.00 - $2.00 for a gain of $5.52. This was gonna' be my best ever money gaining shopping experience so I watched the cashier carefully. When he put in the $3.00 off coupon, it took off $8.48. I asked him why it wasn't $12.00, but he seemed confused and didn't really understand, so I let it go. Seems to me Walgreens has the coupons and registers set up to be sure you don't get more back than what you spent on the individual item. Darn! I tried to follow the FW rules too, by ringing up everything, then usinig my RR's first, THEN using the coupons. Still a great deal though!
