TRY ME FREE! LAND O LAKESŪ Butter in 8 Half Sticks

Link

What a breakthrough! Here I was wasting all that time and energy cutting a stick of butter in half. This new product is an absolute salvation--and thank God our country has the resources to spend on worthy endeavors like this--while less fortunate people worldwide are starving for want of...butter.

Or any other food. Feh.

That was a pretty thoughtful invention. Next they will have to come out with fourth sticks
Thanks for the rebate form, will have to try it out if I can find somewhere to get it from

my only question is is the 8 sticks equal in weight to the 4 stick package?? or is this change a clever way for LOL to reduce total weight?

green for the freebie though

GOOD question!! Maybe when I find somewhere that carries both kinds I will have to compare

green for u ..will this be applicable on salted butter as well?

The picture on the rebate form is salted.

Void in CA. F.

The sky is the limit. Who knows? Maybe someday we'll see butter patties?

First they ration your butter in 1/2 sticks and then.....

Thank God you won't have to waste your time cutting your butter anymore!
Now you can dedicate more time to useless troll posting!

Go away and cut some more butter.

Good find OP!

Thank you OP!

Half sticks, ha. Everybody is so spoiled these days. When I was a child butter came in a single one-pound block. Imagine that. We actually had to cut it into quarter pound sticks ourselves and that was after walking 4 miles to the market and back, uphill both ways.

Nice find. Thanks. Bye, bye my healthy diet.

Thanks! But it still doesn't beat the little squares I get FREE from my local WAFFLE HOUSE!

Thanks OP. I was going to buy some butter this weekend anyway. Also, I am moving in a couple of months, so I should be able to use this again and be set for a while (butter-wise).

man, it was all good until... uphill both ways? last time i checked if something goes up, it comes down. you probably could have used a garmin gps back then

Is it a Canadian company. Why they mentioned CA in the rebate form?

Good post OP

/edit/ I stand corrected... thx ANightShopper!

Yeah for butter!

It isn't void in ME!!!

PhDeez said: Good post OP, but shouldn't this be in the Free Stuff forum? I mean, "value up to 4.39" is less than $10.

Yeah for butter!
Nope, PHD police officer. You have to pay before you maybe get your money back. That's against the rools.

I always wondered about that "other" forum on here... I just knew it was $10...

One pound blocks, ha. Everybody was so spoiled those days. When I was a child butter wasn't available in stores. Imagine that. We actually had to milk our cows, churn the milk into butter and chill it underground in wooden boxes and that was at 4 am in the morning.

...and then walk to school naked with windchills of 60-below zero, uphill both ways, and we liked it!

you guys had it so easy and fun. i actually had to goto school when i was a child.

Surprisingly, it is a full pound. I half expected it to say 14 oz. or something.
Problem is, that would mess up a whole bunch of recipes.

That whole "less for more" idea is a real ugly trend. I think it all started with the bacon guys cutting you back to 12 oz. from a pound. Then the cereal guys with less weight in the same box. I honestly wish they would be up front and just keep things the same size and raise the damn price honestly. I feel like they think we're stupid and won't notice or something.

I was gonna say with no shoes but I see you've got that covered. Or maybe not

It's really bad with candy, too. Reeses Peanut Butter cups are like half the size they used to be. Worst of all is those damn tasty Peppridge Farm cookies. They shrink every 6 months it seems.

It's mail in rebate... I thought it was a coupon.

I don't think i'll be sending a rebate for something less than $10.

This should belong in free stuff section

It should be in the COUPON forum, no wait...

Where is that coupon forum, again?

Free is good...especially for butter! When do we ever get butter for free? Thanks!

Is it time to get our DVDs of "Last Tango in Paris" out again?

Nice find OP.

You don't pay enough taxes in Canada to get it for free!

the form says, "1 lb." so, yes, it would be the same weight.

Thanks OP!

It is an absolutely silly idea that will contribute to our Laziness Index. It will fail commercially or may be not. Meanwhile, I don't mind getting it free though. Thanks OP.

Thanks. I'm in for a pound.

My Grandmother used to just pull out a quarter pound stick out of the package at the store and say, "This is all I need." The clerks don't let her get away with that anymore, because how could they scan a quarter pound stick with no bar code?

Skipping 82 Messages...

got my rebate in the mail earlier this week.
greenish postcard.
