i was also responding to safety dance. and i really don't see that mincing/changing the words makes the concept any different.
what FW allows and does not allow does not change how i or anyone else feels about it. *shrugs*

You used the emoticon for confused, indicating that you were confused by my statement, so I explained it to you. You added comments about coupon selling websites, which were not part of the context in which I was responding, which was creating confusion to others reading, because I wasn't talking about coupon selling websites that are outside the realm of FW. I purposely kept my feelings out, when making that comment, I was strictly speaking in the context of FW policy. You are entitled to say how you feel about it, but you misused my commemt about people not "going to get rich or make lots of money charging fees for a coupon service" and applied to coupon selling individuals and websites, when my comment wasn't about that, nor was it about the difference between trading or selling. I just didn't want anyone to read that, scroll through looking to who said that, find it in my post, and take it out of it's original context, as you did, and apply it to a totally different scenario that I wasn't even discussiing. I'm sure that, given the limits of the internet, that there were times when you were misunderstood or misquoted, and felt it necessary to clarify things, so as to dispell misinformation being applied to you, or to not create confusion. That's all I'm doing.

I snipped out the rest of your post regarding Barb. I don't know what happened or why she feels that way about you. Regardless of how she does, I don't agree that she should have emailed you like that. If she doesn't want to offer you a RAOK because she perceives you as unkind, it's her perogative, but to email you and say that strikes me as a bit crass. If you don't want to do trades that involve PayPal, that is certainly your right, as it is your right to express an opinion stating that you have a problem with trades that involve the value of services (money for clipping, collecting, organizing, etc. ) for coupons, or vice versa. I also agree with where you posted about "abuse such as people taking whole booklets of coupons from stores so that regular shoppers can't find one in their own store. this irks me to no end". People who do that usually are in the business of coupon fraud at some level. FW apparently is allowing small time activity, and put limits to curb store front activity. I would really like to know how/why "2. Trading, buying, selling...are allowed. We're going to assume you're selling your service, and treat it as such." came about. I speculated on some possible reasons in my post, but would really like to hear FW's position on this.

i understand you feeling like you have to explain yourself, but it really isn't about specifically what you said. i didn't quote anything. i just paraphrased what "someone" said and used it to explain myself. i don't know how much clearer that i can make it that it was not about your statement at all.

... and about the confused emoticon -- well, it was not the words that confused me, but the idea that it is called a service fee or paying for someone's time. which again, had nothing to do with anything you said, it is well known that it is called something other than "paying for coupons". i was just saying that it confuses me not to call a payment a payment.

i hope that clears it up.

Is it OK to offer complete deals? I thought they were a big no-no on every couponing board.

They aren't illegal but most boards don't allow them due to the potential abuses of "made up" receipts. I don't know if FW has said one way or the other. I don't know of any board that allows them or the posting of trading of crts. I guess it is a question for Marsdenfubar.
