Anyone tried to buy the Walgreens cereal (4 for 10) and get a $5 RR (page 1 of this weeks walgreens ad) AND 'other Kellogg's snack items buy 4 for $10 or 5 for $10 and get a $5 RR (page 3 of this weeks walgreens ad) AT THE SAME TIME to see if both will print? (you will need to buy 1 or 2 more items for the $10 mail in rebate to work) The separate insert ads makes it look like there are 2 RR deals available.
Also the form is in a separate Sunday slick titled 'Back-to-School Issue TASTE' and has $25 of savings inside - $ off coupons good on the items in the rebate. SORRY - so far all I can find is last years info $10 Rebate InfoNote the dates for purchase for this year are 8/5/08 and 9/30/08.

Be sure to read the rebate form. Register receipt must be dated after 8/5, so don't run out today and buy this stuff, wait til Tuesday.
In my area (zip 38119), the Kroger's are running a mega sale for $5 off 10 participating items, many of which are $2.00 each, and include Keebler Fudge Factory, selected Kellog's cereals, Sunshine Cheez-it, etc...The insert form also has a lot of $1.00 off 2 coupons, (examples $1 off two Raisin Bran, $1 off 2 nutrigrain cereals, etc) which are participating items in the Kroger Sale.
So if you can match up 10 $2.00 items with coupons that are also in the Mega Sale Kroger event, they would be FAR.
Math (using raisin bran cereals as example, could use any combo of items) 10 Raisin Bran cereals x $2 = $20. (or other similar participating items) -$5 off ten participating items -5 x $1 off 2 Raisin bran coupons (or other similar coupons) -$10 rebate on form Total $0.00 plus tax on $20
My newspaper is so bad. I don't have the 'Back-to-School Issue TASTE' and my SS is only 4 pages back and front. A few weeks ago I had RR but no SS. Anyone else have this issue? FYI, in my area (VA), Kroger's mega sale has already ended

In typical Walgreens fashion, the specifics are unclear. And the disclaimer they print is both humorous and pathetic: *Limit 1 Register Rewards coupon printed per offer. See coupon for exclusions and limitations. Well, the only way I know how to see the coupon is to attempt the offer and see what happens, which of course does not give me the info I'm looking for beforehand. I really wish they'd make the details for these offers more clear.
Based on the info in the link that miser1 posted, it appears there are two campaigns, one starting August 5 and one August 19, each with different requirements...but you can only participate in ONE $10 rebate campaign. Is that the way it reads to the rest of you?
Bummer, I didn't read the rebate form in details and did the shopping in Walgreens already! I assume that it's in today's insert that it shoudl take effect immediately. @#$%^ Anyway, the Walgreens RR didn't print for the Kellogg cereals, so the manager instructed the other 2 cashiers to manually marked down the cereals to $1.25 per box. That's what happened at the one and only brand-new Walgreens store near me. (scheduled to have the grand-opening on Aug 9)
wait a second, are we in 2007 or 2008? the info link posted by mizer1 talks about a rebate program for the year of 2007??? which, by the way, I got both rebates back already last year. ummm?
got to find the current rebate form and read it, will report back.
never mind, the start date is still 8/5/08. Oh well. Is it possible to do return and rebuy at Walgreens? I only shopped there twice, so I have no idea how it works. Thanks in advance.
Sorry for not being clear, updated my post to show the dates for 2008 and the only link out there is the info for 2007. As stated the purchases MUST be between 8/5/08 and 9/30/08.

I saw a Catalina "coupon" that had printed at my local A&P's register today which said that their Bonus Bucks promotion was coming back again starting 8/8 for 3 weeks. I assume they will have something with Kelloggs and that it will be at the A&P clones (Superfresh, Waldbaums) as well. I'm going to hold out for that. Sadly, it will not be as good a deal as last year when the coupons in my insert were $1/1. This year they are $1/2. Between the coupons and OYNO coupon last year, my order was totally free, and the $10 rebate was gravy.

hi mizer1, I didn't mean to be rude or anything, sorry if I appeared to be that way. I know we're all here to help each other out. It was just that I was so happy thinking I made a good deal at Walgreens today; I actually kind of bragged about it "a bit" in the other thread Text, and then I found this thread, and realized I messed up the rebate thingy. That's why all the excitement.

Pathmark has a Kellogg's Promo right now! Buy $30/get $10 back. With the right coupons and this rebate, you could get $30 worth of Kellogg's items almost FAR/AC's!

Uh oh… did you remember that the Kelloggs MIR starts on 8/5, and today is 8/4?

I've done it on hosiery, but never on food.
Thanks for the info. I was gonna try, then I found out my kids already attacked one of the cereal box, and almost finished it....lol, now I need to track down where I printed that $3/2 smart start Qs. Any one knows? Thanks.

If you are signed up with Vocalpoint, they sent you a packet of about 10 - 50 cent off coupons (that could be doubled) and one buy one, get one free for Special K products. I didn't know about this other deal ($10 rebate), but last week my store had a sale on special K bars for $1.99. So I was able to purchase 8 boxes for 50 cents each after being doubled. Could have gotten them for free, but still not a bad deal.
Went to Walgreens today. Bought the cereal, and snacks about 13 kellogg's items in total only 2 register rewards printed up. A lady in front of me did the same things. Guess the ad was a bit confusing to us.I though I should have gotten 3 register rewards. So we talked to the manager and she let us return the cereal and rebuy it and then another register reward printed up. Well I get home and noticed that it has to be post marked by tomorrow-ugh. Plus all the food has to be on the same tranaction and the lady marked up my receipt returned. Ugh. Guess I'll try to send it in anyways and hope there not being too strict on the rules. Maybe I'll go to the website and see if there is anyone to contact at kellogg's about this.
EDIT: Thanks OP! I wanted to call and confirm for myself. Here is the information that I got:
08/04/08 18:50 (6:50 pm EST)
I spoke to Alehandra and she said that the promotion was not suppose to be advertised in the paper (or print) until 08/05/08 however since it came out on the 3rd they will accept 08/03/08 until the end of the promotion.
They took down my name and email address as well.

Uh oh… did you remember that the Kelloggs MIR starts on 8/5, and today is 8/4? I bought 4 cereal on first page (2 Special K, 1 Frost Flakes, 1 Corn Pops) and 6 snacks from page 3 (2 Rice Krispie treats, 2 PopTarts, 2 Keebler fudge stripe). I used 5 $1off2 coupons, total came to $17. Two $5 Register rewards printed out, and I'll get the $10 mail-in rebate from Kraft. So net is they 'paid me' $3 to buy their food.
And yes, I didn't see the Tuesday start date on the mail-in (who in their right mind plans a coupon drop two days before the rebate start date?!?!?), but I went back with my two bags this morning, early before it was busy. Explained the situation to the Walgreen's manager, told him it was my fault, but was there anything he could do, and he was kind enough to return rebuy and gave me a clean receipt with today's date.
So all is good. I took my good news to work and am teaching my co-workers how to maximize buy combining the coupons with register rewards and rebates.
I thought I should call and give them my name and email address for validating my rebate mistake. It turns out that they are gonna backdate this promotion to 8/3/08 for everyone. I didn't need to say much, the rep knew what I was gonna ask as soon as I mentioned the $10 rebate. That was easy!
This all worked today. I also bought 4 cereals & 6 snacks and used 2 coupons. Two $5 RRs printed, so after the rebate, everything will be free. Best of all, I used $20 in RR I got 2 weeks ago to pay for this deal

Nearly identical purchase for me was also successful in generating two $5 RRs. Still not absolutely sure if the distinction between each RR offer is the cereal plus the snacks or the 4/$10 plus the 5/$10 or what. Thanks for the clarification of something that would work, 'Annie.
This purchase fulfills the rebate, but I think I'll go back again since I still have mfr. coupons, since four or five items for $5 (after RR) less coupons is a great deal.

Interested to note that WG manager at my store will not allow RR's to be used on purchases that have new RR's attached. Anyone else have this problem?

there is no such rule, I'd call corporate and complain. You are allowed to use RR's to pay if there's new RR's coming out again for a different product offer.

Hi, is the MIR form in the Sunday paper itself or is it with the coupon inserts? Thanks.

When you mail it in, do you staple the UPC's together, or to the form or receipt? Or do you send it all in loose? I'm a newbie and don't want to run the risk of them dropping one of the 10 little clipped UPC's. Thanks for your insight!

Using so many staplez would become bulky, so I tape UPCs neatly in rows on a separate sheet of paper. This also makes it easier to photocopy them, which of course one does before mailing the rebate submission.

I would definitely not leave them loose in the envelope. Taping them to a page as was also suggested is also a good idea.
