In Shaw's flyer this week there is a $5 off coupon if you buy 10 products from a wide list of General Mills products. The list includes various types of Betty Crocker muffin mixes (88 cents each) or Corn bread mix (5 for $2 = 40 cents each). As they will probably not give you a dollar back for buying 10 packs of Corn bread mix, add a few muffin mixes to the mix (bad pun intended ). Or you can buy other GM products and just take $5 off. The flyers are in the store, so there are practically unlimited number of them, although I do not know if you can use more than one in a transaction.

This deal is in MA.

P.S.

if you do not like corn bread or muffins, you can always donate them. Most stores have a charity box.

Great deal, thanks OP! I'm still eating Jello from the last "make money after purchase" deal. Ben & Jerry's factory does an annual pumpkin give-away: Donate to the food shelf and get a pumpkin. (I give enough to get 2.) Food Shelf is getting Jello, cornbread & muffin mix this year. For me, this deal translates to free jack-o-lanterns!

Edit to say I think they will give money back for buying 10 corn bread. That's what they did w/ "make money buying Jello" deal. I can't find the thread. Just buy something you need that's more than $1.

store manager did not let me buy the 40 and 88 cents packages. Said that the coupon applies only to the items listed in tiny fonts on the coupon, and not everything pictured on the ad is eligible. This was the Chestnut Hill, MA location.

I wonder if Shaw's corporate sent out a memo when they saw Corn Bread mix flying out of the store. I had no trouble getting 10 cornbread at any of the stores I went to over the weekend.

We did the deal several times over the weekend. We did not have any problems. Of course we used self check out.

I used self-checkout too and also bought something unrelated. When checking out the system required a coupon check and the clerk opened up the register to get the coupon out. After that he got the manager to look into this and she denied the use of the coupon for the low cost packages.

I also did this several times over the weekend, always used a cashier. They saw that it said "10 items" and swiped it through, no problem.
