If you are going for the Duracell batteries (or anything else) the coupons that they e-mailed for Veteran's Day $4 off of $20 are good until today (Sunday 11/16).
Went to CVS, saw a kid with his parents, kid had a baggie with a whole tearpad of the $5/2. I asked "did you take all of those?" and he backpeddled and was like "oh, I got them from another store". He gave me one lol.
I still bought them on fee-bay, lame people are scalping these, but it's the best option.

The larger packs of 9.99 batteries that are in the circular aren't as efficient in the $15 ECB deal; you have to buy 3 (29.97 before tax) to get $15 back, which means that even with the '$5 off 2 packs' coupon that still means you've paid 9.97. If you get the 4 packs for 5.99 each for 23.96 before after the $15 ECB and less $10 from using 2 '$5 off 2 packs' coupons you've made some change, depending on the tax in your area. I only made 6 cents after tax, which is still better than paying anything. The cashier guy complimented me and said it's a good one he's going to have to use. My husband said I was beaming!

I was wondering if we had to buy 3 packs of the larger pack to get $15. Last time when CVS had some time of buy $20 get whatever ECBs (I think it was the Charmin), it was confirmed you even got the ECBs when you purchased $19.99.

You can buy ANY Duracell batteries. As long as your total is $20 or above, ECBs will print. $19.99 will not be enough to print the ECBs.
The $5 off 2 is limit ONE to a customer so in theory you can't use 2 coupons on one $20 purchase. One cashier let me do it, one did not. and it's 3 ECB's per CVS card so that's 12 eight packs of AA.
I am having a hard time locating those $5 off two packages of Duracell battery coupons. Where exactly do you find these coupons? Are they CVS coupons or are they manufacturer coupons?

You can find them on fleebay
I have no luck with Loreal again this week. Again, there was no tag for the ECB item (moisturizer) on the shelf where the Pro Calcium line was. I also couldn't find Zantrex.
Anybody got the Loreal item?

Anybody got the Loreal item?I got both of the free items this week. I should note that neither of the items had a ECB pricetag, but both produced ECBs at the register.

If it's not an issue of it being sold out, Zantrex is generally in the diet and nutrition aisle.
I got the Loreal, but only because I bought it at 12:30 AM right after the sale started.
The battery coupons are only available in a few stores, at least in my area. I've been to many and only saw a few of them once. They were attached to a cardboard display. Most stores didn't seem to have that display up, so maybe they'll be put out later - although some stores will probably just throw the coupons away. They are CVS coupons, so they can be used with manufacturer coupons and only 1 of them can be used per transaction. And any coupon or ECB you use after the $5/2 battery one will not go in if its value is more than $5. So either use higher value coupons first or have the cashier scan your card again after scanning the battery coupon. As was already started, any Duracell batteries count. I bought various bonus pack ones (ear buds and screw driver), different sizes and varieties.

or buy 3 PlugIns Refill Twin pack($3.99), use 3 peelies free glad plugins (found @ W) and get $5 in ECB + $4.16 profit. But this is YMMV, depend on ur cashier
The problem I am seeing with my local CVS (at least 2 of them)is they didn't even have a tag for the Loreal item that was free after ECB on shelf. It's like they don't carry the items. It happened last week (the 2-day sale) and this week. Maybe these are new items and they just haven't got them, but it made me think they just try to get me to the store. There was a lady looking for the moisturizer as well. She had a rain check for last week's item in her hand and they still didn't have it. She asked the cashier for another rain check for this week's item, but he said they no longer issue rain check for ECB items. After asking a manager, he came back and said what they could do now is if they still don't have the item after the truck comes in Monday, they will give a comparable item for free (since it's free after ECB).
I may hit the 3rd CVS today and see. BTW, I am in San Diego area.

If you find no L'oreal, ask the store manager to check in the back. Yesterday I hit the store at noon and there were no L'oreal on the shelf. The manager first said that they sold out, but when I asked him to check in the back, she brought several L'oreals from there. So, don't just trust what they say upfront, ask them to go check.

I found some AAA batteries with .50 peelies in the school supplies aisle.
I feel bad that someone took all your $5 off 2 packs coupons, the people around here don't do that. There are still some in my local store on the tearpad next to the Duracell end cap.
Today I went to 4 different CVS stores and finally found one that had the big cardboard display of Duracell batteries. Nearly all the batteries were still there, but at the top of the display were empty pieces of cardboard where the coupons must have once been. I know the economy's bad but swiping ALL the coupons, especially to resell, is sinking pretty low.

I totally agree. I won't buy the coupon from ebayer who took the whole stack of coupons.
The Soft and dry from this portion of a promo had peelies for $0.55 each and they also accepted my additional $0.50 coupons from the paper( I had 3) 2 ECB WYB Right Guard, Dry Idea, Soft & Dri ($2.99) Limit 5 So I bought 5 soft and drys. $14.95-5peelies (2.75) - 3 paper couons (1.50) -$10 Cash Back =5 sticks deoderant for $0.70

As luck would have it, I finally found the $5 Duracell tearpad coupons today right AFTER I already bought my $60.00 worth of Duracell batteries (offer limit reached). I guess I will use them next week when the batteries will be on sale for $2.99. Combined with the $5.00 tearpad and the $1.50 newspaper coupons, I'll still get paid to buy the batteries.
As for the L'Oreal, the other day I got a coupon from the price scanner for $2.00 off L'oreal. So if I can find the item, I will use that coupon plus the newspaper coupon plus a $3 off $15 to make $6.00 on the L'Oreal. I believe that I need to buy another small filler since the register won't accept 2 CVS coupons for just 1 item.
Edit: just to clarify, it's the AA/AAA 4-packs, the C/D 2-packs, and the 9V 1-pack that will be on sale next week for $2.99.
As of today, they changed the Duracell promotion purchase requirement to $19.98 instead of $20.00. Today my receipt says "offer limit reached $59.94". Apparently they decided to allow people to get 2 of the $9.99 packs and still get the Extra Bucks. That 2-cent reduction happened as of this morning.

eh, newbie question: for Duracell, the offer is limit 3. So does that mean we can reuse the $15 ECB to pay for the next 2 transactions until 3 is reached? (rinse & repeat)
Thank!

i didnt see the 5$/2 coupons at the last cvs i went to, but i'll check some other CVS in the area, but can anyone who has seen it/used it tell me if the coupon would work on rechargeable batteries?
I went to the 4th CVS I've been this week and finally saw the empty cardboard where the $5 coupons were supposed to be, otherwise I thought the coupons were not available in SoCal. It seemed impossible for me to find the coupons, so I decided to make the purchase with only a $0.75 mfr coupon. I bought a 16-pk AAA @ $9.99 and one 8-pk AA(with free screwdriver) and one 8-pk AAA each @$5.99. I guess if I buy another $18 of Duracell, I will get $15 ECB.
thanks for that bah, no luck w/ the store coupons, maybe i'll keep looking. Ah i had some of those $2 coupons too, but they expired Oct 30th. Have yet to see any more of those either elsewhere. What lousy timing/luck i have for buying duracell rechargeable batteries.

The $5 off coupons were gone at my CVS also. I did find a pack with a $1 off coupon attached to it.
Well, YMMV but there IS hope for the $5.00 off coupons after all. Today I went to CVS to buy the Duracell batteries and take advantage of the ECB offer, coupon or no coupon. To my surprise, there on top of the display were two pads of the coupons, and this was a store that definitely did not have the coupons there two days ago. I know because I had checked this store. The pad of coupons had something sticky on the back to attach it to the display (think super Post-it Notes), because as I tried to pull off a coupon the whole thing came off but I was able to easily reattach it. Translation: the coupons were not on the original cardboard backing, they were simply stuck on. Why they weren't there 2 days ago, I have no idea...I'm just happy to have found them. Love those free batteries!
NoMoneyInMyWallet said: MaxMojo said: Don't know how or why this happened, but.. On 11/18 I purchased 2 x 4 pack of the precharged, $14.99@ less the $5 coupon, on the receipt was a $15 EB. The on 11/22 I purchased another two sets, used another $5 coupon, and on the receipt was a $30 EC! So my net cost for the 4 sets was only $5.$14.99 * 2 = $29.98 toward ECB (limit 3) $29.98 - $19.98 required for each $15 ECB = $10 carryover toward next $15 ECB
$39.98 is enough to qualify for 2 $15 ECBs ($19.98 * 2 = $39.96 needed); therefore $30 ECB printed on your 2nd transaction.
Keep in mind that the "buy $, get $ ECB" offers accumulate in your account until you've reached the $ requirement for the ECB. Any excess is carried over toward the next ECB (if the ECB limit is not reached).
P.S. The $ required was initially $20 for the Duracell ECB, but it was later dropped to $19.98
Thanks for the explanation. Hate to come across as an imbecile, but I don't get it. But even though I don't understand it, I did push it.
So I took my $30 ECB, and another $5 coupon along with a different EC acct., and bought 2 more packs, and picked up yet another $15 ECB. Used that $15 ECB, plus another $5 coupon (plenty of them at my CVS) and bought yet another 2 packs - but unlike last round this one was only $15. Figured that 32 batteries was more than I can use, so returned 2 sets and got $30 cash card. I think I ended up getting the 24 pre-charged batts for free.
Actually, less than free since on 2 of my purchases I got a coupon that asked me to update my email contact info and they promised to email a $3 gift cert, so I got paid $6 for those batteries. I doubt that makes sense, since I'm confused by it all.
