Don't flame me on this for not just updating previous thread as many would have missed this new coupon. The text on the coupon states it expires 02-15-2009.
Offer not valid in AR, NJ, NY, ND or Puerto Rico. This discount is not insurance. This coupon is non-transferable. Receive a $25 Walgreens Gift Card when you purchase a transferred prescription (except from another Walgreens). Gift card can be used toward any purchase in store except mandatory insurance co-pays, liquor, tobacco, dairy, stamps, phone and other gift cards as restricted by law. If the purchase is less than the card value, the balance will remain on your card to use later; no change will be given. See back of card for more details. Coupon must accompany purchase. Limit one gift card offer per customer, per transaction. NOT VALID WITH MEDICARE, MEDICAID OR ANY OTHER GOVERNMENTAL PROGRAMS OR WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. Cannot be combined with any other prescription offer. Coupon expires 2/15/09.
Interesting that they have added AR and ND to their list of excluded states. NJ/NY is to be expected due to state laws (although amusingly when I checked the ad page on their website, they ARE showing it for NY stores.
Hubby on 2 scripts a month and daughter on 3 so with the long dates coupons (I have them from the newspaper) I can transfer to Walgreens then back to Kroger then back to Walgreens! Walgreens transfer with give me $250 and I am hoping to get 2 Kroger transfer coupons which will give me $20 per script for a Kroger total of $100!

Last time I did that on RiteAid, I transfer from Walgreen ->RA->Lucky-> RA, they refuse to give the gift card to me and claim only one per prescription for life time.

Before Eckerds was bought by Rite Aid, it said in the fine print, limit one reward per household. Also you could not get the reward IF you had gotten one in the past 3 or 6 months. I forgot, it has been awhile. Thank God it has been awhile since I took any drugs. READ THE FINE PRINT PEOPLE.
If you have a new prescription, just drop it off at pharmacy #1, telling them you want to have it on file, but that you're not ready to fill it at this time. Then call Walgreens (or whatever store you have a coupon for) and have it transferred. That's worked for me.
Thanks for the link. I was looking for this last week. My local CVS will take any competitor's transfer script coupon for new scripts. I didn't have my printer set up but Rite-Aid has been putting out 4 xfr script coupons almost every week.
