Where did you hear about this?

alert mods

oo! bacon!

alert mods

darn....whole food also has black friday sale.

alert mods

Whole Foods meat is the best. They know if they get you to try it, you will be hooked for life. I always look forward to times I buy steaks there, and I frigin' work there...

That ground beef is really cheap if this is nationwide. The WalMart supercenter here (New Orleans) sells 1 lb 97/3 ground beef for ~$3.80. At this price, I'd seriously buy 20 lbs of ground beef in 1 lb portions, then immediately freeze 19 lbs for later use.

alert mods

Why not eat all 20 lbs in one sitting?

alert mods

Or bathe in it.

alert mods

perhaps people should google for the film 'Earthlings' narrated by Joaquin Phoenix to see the real deal on beef.

alert mods

Beef deal confirmed at my local store, however he thought it was going to be $1.99/lbs

alert mods

In for 20# of beef too.... does anyone know their raincheck policy? (ie: 30 day expiration?)

alert mods

Wow, times must be hard. Even Whole Foods is doing a BF sale!

alert mods

Went to my local store today, its $1.99/lbs on friday, still a great deal...I put an order for 40lbs wrapped in 1 lbs sections...She requested I pick it up next week which is great so I can miss the holiday traffic...Everything looks good, but she has to check with her manager to confirm. The rump roast at 2.99lbs is a good deal also.

alert mods

I corrected the Error on the Bacon it is only a 12oz package not 16oz

alert mods

I went to my local Whole Foods today and NOTHING was marked down, no signs, NADA. I did not have a copy of an ad or anything so there wasn't much I could do. I mean, a printout of a message board from FW would probably not fly.

Maybe tomorrow I will check the one near work.

The Whole Foods by me had no knowledge of any BF sale today. WTF, OP?

alert mods

It figures; no BF deals in NYC. The 3 stores I called all say the ground beef is $4.99/lb. I guess it's back to turkey leftovers for tonight's dinner.

alert mods

Weird, my store had everything marked correctly...She had my 40lbs of beef and two roasts ready to go, they even wrapped the beef in 1 lbs packages for me
