Beer Related Rebates - General Discussion

With all the different Beer Rebate discussions going, mostly as For Trade posts, I thought a general post discussing them was probably due. My idea for the thread included keeping the wiki up to date with what is current available, general requirements of the rebate, and where they were found. I will update the wiki through the day with the offers I know that are currently available.

I'm done. Feel free to add/clean up the wiki. I'll work on formatting some other time.

Are these ever available online for download?

I can't recall ever seeing them available in that way.

Has anyone EVER seen these forms at a store in NJ?

I have been around and around with my local Food Lion. The Store Manager tells me I need to contact the distributors, so I did. They tell me that they have to BUY these forms and that each store gets 2 pads of MIR's when they are available. I called Coors directly and Budweiser directly. They tell me that the distributor has to get these forms, that they can't be sent to me individually. So, now, I go to my Local Food Lion EVERYDAY if possible. They hate to see me coming. Oh, I was also told by the distributing company that the competitors tear them down, and throw them away. Corporate office of FL has vowed to help me. But to no avail. Yet. But, I am persistent. I want these forms available like they are everywhere else.

Rstyzwife,

Very interesting. I just sent a feedback to food lion yesterday on their site about it. I haven't seen a form in any Food Lion(we have 5 in the general area) in many months. That stuff about someone else tearing them down is BS. There would be an empty pad or something. When is the last time you found something, anything?

My Food Lion in Front Royal, VA does have them from time to time.

Just to let people know, I found the Budweiser Bud Bowl rebates at Wegmans last night. They're pamphlets at the front of the Bud display that have coupons as well as the rebates for the BBQ grill, Bottled Water, TV, Deli Items, and Cooler.

(Yes, I have extras to trade. PM me if interested.)

What do you guys think of adding your name to the wiki if you have them available to trade?

Thanks for the info body.

Has anyone in NC had luck at Food Lion? None of mine around here offer these. I've mentioned it at customer service but the person I talked to had no idea. I had put in a request online, but the phone call went much better than the visit.....

The store doesn't put out the rebates, the beer distributor does. Those are the people you want to talk to.

Actually, from what they told me, they order from the distributor. If no room for the display, no order. I'm gonna put in a few more emails before I give up.

Do you guys think sushi would be considered a prepared food for the $15 rebate?

I don't see why not. They are usually pretty liberal.

Most of the forms have a phone number you can call. Make sure you have the PO box of the offer as that is how many are referenced with customer service.

We're planning to buy a 32" LCD HDTV next week, and the Bud form for a $50 rebate on a TV would be great EXCEPT you're supposed to buy the TV at the same place you buy the beer! Now, c'mon, not that many stores sell TVs AND beer. I think the only place in my town is Wal-Mart, and I do NOT want to buy a new 32" HDTV from WallyWorld. I'm going to call and see if they will make an exception since they would be in essence limiting us to one store and one store only.

Thanks, OP, for gathering all of the beer rebates in one place. Stateofmind does a great job of summarizing the ones he has on hand, and this thread does a great job of summarizing all of the ones that are available.

Good luck with that. The rebates are written up with the retailer in mind. Buying the beer and TV at the same retailer brings them business.

I get Miller rebates at RiteAid but send in grocery receipts from Krogers, they don't really care. I have never seen one that states you must buy from a certain retailer. We don't have to buy beer in this state so it might be different. Beer rebates are the most generous rebates out there in terms of approving.

Good luck with Food Lion. I have been around and around with my local store. Even called the distributors. Get one story from one, another store from another, so...
I wish you luck, and if you get any results, let me know how you did it. I even called the companies themselves. They say it's up to the distributors to put them out. Distributors say that competitors tear them down and trash them. Local FL rep said "the employees like to use them too". So, again, no results. I would like to know where they are going. Dist. said that each store gets 2 pads each.

How strict are they on interpreting what you buy? A lot of these rebates are so vague on what qualifies -- "salty snacks," "canned or bottled vegetables/sauces." Are there any official guidelines on what's included in these categories, or do you just hope the rebate processor agrees with you that pickles are a bottled vegetable and cheese cubes are a salty snack? And how do they know what you bought anyway? I just sent in a receipt (with my fingers crossed) that shows buns I bought (one of the current rebates), but the receipt just says "bread," with no SKU.

OK, just found the "Miller Lite $15 rebate off purchase of $30 or more of Super Party essentials" at RiteAid in Kentucky.

I have the same question as below: how do they determine what is "Super Party essentials"? I also am sending in a receipt from Kroger although I got the rebate slip from RiteAid.

Can one of you beer rebate vets let us know how this works? TIA.

They are usually very liberal on the interpretations.

Great news on the TV rebate from Budweiser. I called about the requirement on some forms that you have to buy the beer and the TV from the same retailer. After bucking the question up to a supervisor, I was told they have received a lot of complaints about that requirement, that the forms are wrong, and that you can buy the TV anywhere. If you are rejected, just call and they'll authorize the rebate to be paid.

Now onward and upward - apparently there is another beer/TV form that was found at Fred Meyers stores.
Buy Coors Light and get a $50 rebate when you spend $429 or more on a Samsung LCD or plasma TV. Sorry I don't have more details, but I just heard about it on refunding/couponing chatboard I belong to. If anyone here has the form and can supply more details, I am very interested, especially if it is good in TN.
If you have the form, and it is good in TN, please PM me as I need 1. Thanks!

I found a $7.50 on $30 rebate at FL today for the first time in goodness knows how long. Expires 2/28. I'll post details when I get home and verify it's not a repackaging of the other $7.50 rebate.

I've had a few rejected, but every time I call on them, they approve it, usually by saying something like, "you're such a good customer, we'll go ahead and approve this one."

Bump for a new addition.

$7.50 Rebate on $30 of Salty Snacks, Ice, Water and/or Soda from Coors. Begins 12/8, ends 2/28/09. Open to Al, AR, CT, HI, IN, KY, ME, MO, NC, NJ, NY, SD, UT, VA, VT & WV. Received by 3/28.
Found at Food Lion in NC. It was in a booklet for a NASCAR schedule, etc.

Bump for new rebate added.

I was searching eBay and apparently there is a new $10 Bud rebate starting 3/1 for $10.01 or more of Salty snacks, ice, charcoal, propane, condiments, dips, buns, meat snacks, deli sandwiches, bottled water or pizza for the usual states, NBPR.

The beer rebates Can be generous, but the processor for Miller rebates [Perago in TX] has gotten very stingy recently. Miller Lite had a "Fresh Prepared Hot Food" rebate in Jan and Feb, which was supposed to be "up to $20" but what they did was take the lowest item on the receipt and refund that amount instead of combining say four $5 lunches to get the $20 max. It seems they only want to refund for 1 item on the receipt, so be sure you read the rebate carefully when you submit. Never had any probs. w/ rebates fr Bud or Coors [both of whom have rebates on the actual purchase of beer right now]. Miller has a rebate on the purchase of Miller Lite, MGD and MGD 64 cans only right now and in certain states the rebate can only be for half of the cost of the beer, regardless of what is stated on the rebate form.

Thanks for the warning, savsome!
