Update (6/25): Sorry! False alarm (was hoping for a repeat)... Booklets not located with the weekly ads, but in a cardboard POS display near the entrance.

Ask for a copy of the Target weekly ad at the customer service desk. Works everytime for me.
Using a Rx transfer coupon for a new prescription (YMMV)
I know some ppl discussed this b4.
Sometimes it works for me.
After dropping off the prescription for a few weeks (and never have it filled), I transfererd the prescription to another pharmacy to use my Rx transfer coupon.
Last time I used a $10 Target coupon for my new prescription. But since I couldn't get a $10 Target coupon for a new prescription this time, I just used the above method to make my "new" prescription qualify for a transfer Rx coupon. Then I could use my $25 Kroger coupon at CVS.
newbie reminder: lmgtfy (eg: supermarket with Rx dept) (not free)

I'm suprised your area supermarkets don't snail mail the weekly ads. Sometimes, promos are only available at B&M and not all employees are aware of the various deals. (eg)
FYI: I seem to recall a blog somewhere listing which retailers will/won't PM Rx coupons. (eg: Target won't PM) (read: If I find the site again, I'll update QS)
Update: Thread is currently moderated due to the three posts above. (and mods are slow to approve posts)

does anyone have a coupon for a gift card for a prescription in CVS/target/Walgreens/rite aid ?
Vons (Safeway): Transfer Rx, Get $25 off $50 coupon [limit 2 per household] (requires no-fee membership card) FYI: "...cannot be combined with any other savings, coupon, discount or offer". comment: Uncertain if this include things like sale prices and mfg coupon.
