Kraft has a new promotion going on:

Kraft Promotion

Essentially purchase $25 in participating products and you will get a $5 coupon (good for anything in the store on future purchases) and a $20 rebate.

See link for deal.

Starts Aug 7 on Friday

Enjoy

Thanks OP! Great find! But where do I send the rebate?? Is there a form?

I am wondering if this is available only at select stores, those listed in the dropdown.

From linked site, below 'Purchase $25 of participating items...' blurb in middle of page:

"...Coupons for $5 will print at register valid on your next shopping trip... $20 rebate form will print at register...

This appears to substantiate 'GeorgeGarmans' suspicion that the deal is only from those participating stores from the drop down list. Will check the local Farm Fresh store tomorrow.

Thanks OP.

Bill

Farm Fresh looks like it is on the list of valid stores. Please let me know what the rebate says because none of these stores are near me.
Thanks

Another one not available in Hawaii! Good post though OP.

My question is, what if you use coupons? Is it the $25 total before or after coupons?

Was at Shaws tonight and bought $25.2x of qualifying
Kraft products but the coupon and rebate print outs didn't come out. It could be that I used a coupon for something else and the system thinks the cpn was for the Kraft products. I got a store employee to force the system to print out the forms though.

Make sure if you use self checkout that the printer is not flashing red. If it does, it won't print out anything since it is either out of paper or offline.

we went to Acme yesterday and we bought the things for $26.77 of aualifying Kraft products. We got the MIR form and 5$ Coupon from printer.

If you use any coupon like store coupon or Kraft coupon then it will not print the MIR form or coupon. So please do not use any coupon during this purchase.

I had a similar problem today at one of our Cub Foods stores. They customer service people gave me a $25 gift card instead of re-ringing the items. So I guess I could go back and get the actual rebate also.

These rebates are always tricky with the specific products and the chance that the forms won't print at the register. The store had a whole page with people who had been given $25 gift cards instead of the rebate form. I suspect they get reimbursed by Kraft for this.

Did this deal at Shaw's. Had no problem using a bunch of coupons. Forms printed fine.

This deal is also valid at Shop 'n Save in the Saint Louis region.

This week's Shop 'n Save flier shows their Thursday instant $10 off $50 total deal as well.

On what basis do you say that? I think you are quite mistaken. A better question is whether the system interprets the $25 value based on the amount at which items scan, or their normal retail price. For example, hypothetically, does two items purchased BOGO at a cost of $2 count as $4 or $2?

If for some reason this were the case (coupons prevent the offer), this would be one worthless promo. No savvy grocery shopper should EVER buy brand name items like these without coupons.

Why would it be a worthless promo without coupons? It's a rebate of what you paid and you keep the stuff.

I'm not arguing about the coupons, I used them.

I recycled the 1st $5 cpn and did it again for another address. The print outs came out fine.

I would never buy the items normally unless there are coupons to go with a sale. This is essentially getting everything free regardless if you have coupons.

Not true at Cub foods. I used store credit coupons and the forms were printed without any issues.

Okay, "worthless" is overstated. My point is, if you couldn't use coupons with this offer, you're in effect sort of trading one deal for another, a sideways move. Anyway, I don't think there's any problem using coupons and since there are plenty of Kraft mfr. coupons out there for many of the eligible products, a savvy shopper is going to maximize the potential.

FYI: Albertsons has this deal going on as well.

I went to Shoppers and used coupons and both printed out just fine! There were actually coupons on the displays that I used also!

Today I experienced the coupon problem in SoCal Albertsons.
I purchsed the Kraft rebate items with Mfr Coupons plus other non rebate items.
The rebate form as well as the $5 did not print. I went to Customer Service
and the guy keep saying I bought the wrong items, so I asked for full refund.
Then one of checkout clerks offered to re-ring the items. I took the items over and
she rescanned them, this time without mfr coupons, the rebate form printed. The
exact same items were scanned in both cases.
Anyway, they gave me the printouts and voided the 2nd transaction.

Maybe albertson's is different but at Shaw's coupons are fine. If it were Shaw's I would assume there was a problem with the first machine (out of paper, jammed etc.) and coupons were not the issue.

This is so sad that this deal is not posted in Hot Deals. How pathetic, only 1,900 page view in 11 days. Wonder how many over at SD? Bet this would receive this amount of page veiws in just 1 day if posted in Hot Deals. Its really ashame so many FW's will miss this FREE grocery deal and especially in this economy! This deal (for me) is really worth $40! Net after taxes, for me to pay for $25 in groceries I must earn $40. Lucky me I have a job. I also bet a lot of FW members don't, and could really use this.

Mods-Please post this in Hot Deals for the FW community to see instead of this seldom visted "grocery" forum. Thanks.

I used coupons and had no problem getting the rebate cat. and the $5 cat (Socal, Albertsons).
I got 7 bags of cheese (1.79 each), 3 bags of string cheese (2.99 each), and 4 single velveeta cups ($1 each). Then $5 off with cheese coupons, $3 off with 2 of these coupons), and $10 off with cats from old promotion. The total was $7.50 and I got back the $5 for the Kraft promotion, $1 for the velveeta promotion ($1 back wyb 2 singles, limit 1 cat per transaction), and the rebate form.
I'd imagine most of the problems are with the catalina machines and then some problems from random items not counting when they should.

i wonder if tops is a participating store?

It seems Cubs is having 2 types of promotion but you can only do one. The weekly ads shows that you can buy $20 worth of participating product and get $5 off next grocery. Its shows cereals, juice, pizza rolls etc.

The Kraft promotion meanwhile doesn't list this items as part of the list. So if you are shopping at Cubs be sure to get your Kraft items right using the list from kraft promotion and not get confuse with the items in the ads otherwise your price will not add up correctly for the rebate.

In my case, the Catalina machine printed $1.00 cpn with Velveeta cheese cups but not the Kraft $5 + $20 rebate the first
time with mfr coupons. The same items scanned in other checkout stand with no mfr coupon but printed $1+$5+$20
rebate form. I don't think it was the machine, neither the case of random items.

My first thought was Albertsons is very specific on the qualified items (also the promotion only run till 8/18), but you got the $5 coupon and rebate form printed the 2nd time. So my theory was not correct.

I have 2 more days to decide if I want to do it or not. Hopefully more SoCal people report back.

Thanks

There is nothing in the terms of the offer that says use of mfr. coupons voids the offer. I would also agree with others that there was some other problem which caused the rebate form not to print in arpa's case.

I did the deal at Jewel (Chicago area) and had no trouble using several mfr. coupons and still go the printout coupon and rebate. In fact, I only spent $22~ total on my whole transaction, less than the "required" amount on Kraft items alone.

That makes no sense at all. Unless the cashier just screwed up and missed an item on the first time around, I can't imagine what really went wrong. But their first response when something goes wrong is usually going to be "coupons" because that way it's the customer's fault.
I rolled that velveeta cat over and over (and over and over) again today using the BOGO q from SS 8/9 and paying nothing every time and the new cat always printed.

I agree with yoregano, there's nothing that says that you can't use coupons so there's no reason not to use them. Some cashiers and managers just hate coupons and don't want to deal with them.

Here's a link to printable California Pizza Kitchen coupon. Thanks to mrbigpockets from this thread.

ok so I called my tops friendly markets, and the customer service lady said that their store was participating. so i went in the following day and bought the items from the list for at least 25.00 . well the rebate form / coupon never printed out, so went to customer service, had them void it and ring it up again in case it was the register i was at, well no rebate form again. So the cs people said they would call me today when they got an answer for me. I ended up going to tops today and the still didn't have an answer as to why it wasn't printing out, so one of the managers had the catalina company # , and I was like let me have their number so I can seak to them. Apparently the tops people tried calling catalina people and no answer, anyways I got directed immediately to a catalina rep and I asked them if tops was in fact participating, and the lady was like no they are not. So I will be going in tomorrow to speak to the store manager and he said he will take care of this. I have a darn reciept, if only i had a rebate form. grrr.....
