Mallomars (chocolate covered marshmallow and graham cracker cookies) are back in stores starting Wednesday. As they usually do, they will be very cheap for the first few days they are out, and then $3+ after that when they go on sale. Shoprite has them for $1.47 (limit 4) through Saturday. A&P (presumably also Superfresh and Waldbaums) have them for $1.49 (limit 2) through Thursday in an ad that claims "guaranteed lowest price" (sadly, the only thing they guarantee is to match the other store's price, not give it to you free).
They're not as good as they used to be and the box is probably about the half the size, but m son still loves them and I assume many others do as well since their release seems to be a big thing.
We have 8 boxes here to take to my son at college. Not sure if we should eat one ourselves. I guess I could have bought another when I was at A&P today.
Wow, 8 boxes! Even though everyone I saw had at least one box in their cart this weekend, still could pull myself to buy one just to try. Are they really that good? Guess I'll have to buy a box the next time they go on sale.
