Thank you for your information. Where is the gift card bonus AD ? I didn't find it in store AD. By the way, beside mailing all the receipts, we can enter them online in our rebate account. Is it right? Thank you.
By the way, has anyone else had more difficulty this year than last collecting receipts in and around your store? I feel like Rite Aid staff in my nearby locations are either cleaning up better or they're in on the gift of savings themselves!
I have been able to score the gift of savings twice now by digging for receipts in the Rite Aid trashes right outside of the stores. I redeemed one gift of savings for myself and I am redeeming one for my brother and having it sent directly to his house as this offer is one per household. I am finding that perhaps due to the economy but the average receipt I find tends to be for a lower dollar amount than last year. This is sure an easy way to make a $20 gift certificate. Wish more stores did this. Like last year too, when you hit the $100 amount the system automatically requests the gift certificate for you, so make sure your address information is up-to-date because if not, the certificate will be on its way automatically to the wrong address.
Just curious, if we were to purchase all 15 free after rebate items totaling $60 plus, can we use 3 of the $5 off $20 coupons on one transaction or do we have to separate them into 3 different transactions? Thank you for the help

seperate assuming you could get 3 orders to add up to just about $21. one order might require a filler of another item to hit the $20 depending on the "math" of how items are priced.
I didn't want to start an entire thread on this but on this weeks freebie, the anti itch stuff, there was a 60 minute free prepaid phone card in the box.
hello, i just had a question, thanks to the gift of savings and "lost and found" receipts, i already got my $20 snail mail paper GC for rite aid. my question is if the total price after all the coupons come out to ~$15, can i use my $20 GC and have another ~$5 remaining on my paper GC? i mean will the remaining balances be printed on a new GC? this would be great as i will make a lot of money with these freebees. thank you.

I have also noticed that when I have useed these before, it seems like more than $20 was deducted. Maybe it was just my imagination though.
I think it has something to do w/ sales tax. If you buy $20 worth of taxable items most coupons deduct the $20 but you still end up paying sales tax on $20. With the GoS if you buy $20 worth of taxable items and you use $20 GoS your taxable total is $0.
This year I'll cash out my GoS and MMAR next week with all the FAR stuff + $5/$20 coupon + $2 Discover coupon but in the past I've used GoS to purchase Amazon GC. Of course YMMV as to whether your store lets you purchase GC w/ the GoS.
Using the $5 off $25 coupon twice and the Gift of Savings you can net $20.00 before tax using the combos in the attached spreadsheet. The spreadsheet maximizes the combined value of the coupon (turns a $30 transaction into a $25 transaction) and the Gift of Savings promo. Using the $5 off $20 coupon reduces the effect of the Gift of Savings.
My 10/4 Valasis had a coupon for a free 0.75 tube of poligrip. Theoretically, you could use the coupon to get it free, submit the rebate, and make $1.99 .
"My 10/4 Valasis had a coupon for a free 0.75 tube of poligrip. Theoretically, you could use the coupon to get it free, submit the rebate, and make $1.99"
Theoretically, that would work BUT the size of Poligrip you need to buy to qualify for the Rite Aid rebate is bigger than the small free size of Poligrip offered by the coupon so that is a no go.
Just got back from the store. Got everithing and made $16 with the 3 $5 off and $1 off printed. The CSR was like you might not buy all the free items and called a manager for no reason, who came and told her to make me happy. YMMV. I stop getting Sunday coupons Valasis etc. last year so this is huge for me. BTW, the coupons scanned on the first try.
I did 4 transactions, paid $27 for everything, and will get back $62 in rebates. Having the $5 off $20 coupons and the $20 gift of savings certainly helped. This was a great morning at Rite Aid. But be careful since some of the items (like Carmex, Sucrets, Dr Thompson's Cold War) were ringing up at the non-sale price and had to be adjusted by the manager.
I know it varies by location, but if you need relatively low cost filler items to hit the $20 or $25 purchase requirement for $5 off, you might look at the clearance items. Yesterday I picked up a nice backpack for my wife for school. It was 75% off...it usually went for $20 but I picked it up for $5.
it went well for me too with 3 $5 OFF $20 and the $1 coupon for children throat thing. my $5 OFF coupon was with tax so all my transactions came out to ~$19 + 7% nj tax - $5 so around $14 i paid for all 3 transactions. i'm planning on using the rest with my $20 GC for fall savings to save even more.

That happens when I get there 2 or 3 am. BTW, the coupon takes away the tax in NY so the Denture Adhesive Cream is really FAR as well as the filler item you might buy. .

The 0.75 oz PoliGrip had the FAR sign under it and is the one that the coupon is for.
I did 4 transactions using AirWick iMotions as fillers. Total $93.61 which w/ receipt I found in trash will get me another GoS. ~$21MMAR and $20 GoS My transactions were all ~$12 oop so haven't used first GoS yet. Planning to try the following: Olay Regenerist Eye Roller $21.99 2 Pantene Shampoo or Conditioner $7 1 Oral B Toothbrush $2.49 Total $31.48 - $5/25 Rite Aid coupon - 2 $1/1 Pantene coupons (SS 9/13/09)- $1/1 Oral B Toothbrush = $23.48 Pay w/ $20 GoS $3.48 + tax oop get back $10 RA Gift Card (SCR#77 this week only)and $20 rebate from Olay ~$27MM and converts the GoS to $$$
sparkgem said: Thank you all. One question: When you enter the receipt for the rebates, it will signal the $20 gift cert too - right?
After you enter your receipts the normal way, then you click on "Gift of Savings" on the left side of the page. That will take you to the Gift of Savings page where it will show you how much you earned. That is where you request your certificate once you reach the $20 level.
