I guess they're prepping us for winter. BRB, time to hibernateBoth are all-month deals. I was at WG today and they had a RR shelf tag next to the Chapstick. I asked an assiant manager about the Robitussin-To-Go and she said she had some in the back. She brought out a holder of 6 (which had the RR info on it). I took 2 and went off to find other stuff to pad my orders with so I could use the Chapstick RR (I had used earlier Robitussin RR's for them). By the time I got back, the other 4 were gone from the holder!
The lotion, Halls and razors are month long too. But, at least where I am, they're almost impossible to find.
There's a printable coupon for the poligrip: Try me free Super Poligrip Orginal It let me print 2. EDIT - I guess you shouldn't bother printing those for awhile. I just noticed that mine expire on 10/16 even though I just printed them. That's really irritating. Hopefully they'll still be around shortly before the deal starts.

Anyone have some good ideas for spending off the RegisterRewards, WITHOUT continuing to buy more RR items? I have about $40 of RR coupons expiring in the next 1-2 weeks and tired of the deals and already too much product. I dont want them to go to waste and no, I dont want to mail them to you.
Restated, how best do you get rid of the RR's if you just want to convert them to cash? I wouldn't normally buy anything there because without the RR program almost everything is priced far higher than WMT. The old program to recharge your card was better in that you weren't forced to keep buying to keep your RR's from expiring
Find something on sale that you would normally buy elsewhere. I bought cereal, granola bars, bacon, coffee, zip loc bags, listerine, toilet paper, paper towels, etc as long as they were about the same price I could find them at CostCo or the grocery store.
I remember someone stating that RR's could be used at a supermarket chain. I don't remember which one it was or why.

I feel the same way most of the time with this new program . I have gotten my Ink cartridges . A little more than wally world but hey I really didnt pay much for any of these RR's . I also buy paper plates when they go on sale and my Sunday newspapers. If you need some kind of item like a medical aid Walgreen has some that are not to bad a price and you can order at pharmacy, instead of online. Just one example we got a walker through Walgreens a few years back at a good price. I have refilled ink cartridges too. And gotten some perfumes for gifts. Really wish I could use them on prescriptions that would be the best use for us.

If it's not on sale, then it's as if WAG is only redeeming your RR for 50-75c on the dollar. For example, if WAG has an item at $1 and WMT sells it for 50 cents, the $1 RR is not "like $1" but more like 50 cents. Even though they give you $1 RR credit toward the purchase of an overpriced $1 item, you would be wasting 50 cents by spending $1 RR for something only worth 50 cents at WMT or elsewhere. I get my Canon generic ink cartridges for about $1.50 on eBay, and WAG doesn't even offer Canon refills but the others they do offer are $12.99 - substantially more than $1.50.
It's been very difficult to find items that 1 are cheaper than WMT 2 I need
WAG's RR advertising to say "like paying $x.xx" is highly misleading.
1 real cash doesn't expire in 2 weeks 2 real cash doesn't have to be spent ONLY at WAG 3 real cash doesn't require you to buy at least as many items as you have RR coupons 4 real cash earns interest, although not much at today's low rates 5 RR that can ONLY be used at WAG are worth a fraction of its stated value due to the above limitations
Of course, WAG's interests are opposed to ours. They want you to buy overpriced crap you don't need in order to "spend" your RR or use the ridiculously short 2 week expiry to "steal" your RR.

WalMart has got you hooked! Their whole teqnique is "Everything is 6 cents lower than the lowest shelf price we could find" & not doing great sale items.
If you would bother to follow sales of other stores, you would find that just about all chain drug stores around the nation reqularly have sales that are EXTREMELY lower than wally's shelf price. As long as you and the majority of the nation keep thinking that way, that will leave more deals/items for those of us who regularly deal with our RR's/ECB/Other in-store credits. Example; Since the beginning of this months Walgreens sales, I have gotten about 250 Gillette fusion razors, 100 Vaseline lotions, 250 Theraflu boxes/bottles, all for about $60 out of pocket at the store, plus about $120 spent for paying for coupon clipper service & some gas money. All that can then be sold, used and/or donated depending your whims...
Also "Real Cash" does not earn interest...You have to give to "Bank" and they will give you their type of "In-store credit", minus their fees and such, but cold hard cash does not breed onto itself.
I cashed mine out for B1G1 glucosomine supplement for my dogs, but here are some ideas. The milk and bread are actually cheaper at Wags than at the grocery store here, although ymmv. There are a couple of free after rebate shampoos, look for the form on the hangtags. Do the other rebates that are out there (Olay is a good one). Some grocery stores take RR's, they are manufacturer's coupons and do not say only redeemable at Wags. Ask your grocery store, they may take them if they have the catalina machines also.
You can also buy something expensive and filler items, use all your rr's, and then return for a wags gift card. Not that I endorse this, but it does work in a pinch to extend the rr's. A wags gc can then be used to buy other gc's.

I'd like to know which grocery stores. I seem to remember someone saying Ralphs or Vons, but I'm not in Cali anymore. Anybody? Bueller?

Yeah, this is the observation I made as well. Last week the paper towels and zip loc bags were better than CostCo + Coupon prices. This week I bought granola bars, which are not cheaper than Costco ($0.17 each) at 2 for $5 ($0.25 each), but when you buy 4 boxes, you get you another $5 RR making it $0.125 each. I also bought bacon cuz that's about as cheap as you'll find it at the grocery store ($3 each) and I had a coupon for $1.50 off 2 packages.
Some people are pumping up the Ragu deal but we don't get the "old fashioned ragu" so that's a no for me. Got some Post cereal as well cuz I had a $1 off 2 coupon. Still doesn't make it a great deal but I'm trying to burn through all of my RRs from two weeks ago like everyone else.
Also got a couple of bags of candy, some John Frieda hairspray, and some Aleve since I had coupons for all of them. Topped it off with another Fusion razor.
NotPROavJUNKIE, you're missing my point. I agree that WAG has some great deals when you consider free or less than free; however, I was asking how to escape the RR deal cycle by buying something that is a good deal, that does NOT require continuing the RR game for awhile. If I keep buying more RR items and getting more RR coupons, I haven't spent them off as is my stated goal.
Still, thats a very impressive haul you made.

There isn't an answer for you. Maybe you should quit Walgreen's. I mostly have.
Walgreen's had Tropicana on sale for $2.50, that is the typical sale price at the grocery stores around me. So, I'm doing no worse buying at Walgreen's with RR than grocery store with cash. If there is truly never a single thing in the store on sale you need that is cheaper than Wallyworld then you are stuck and shouldn't bother.
One thing to consider though. Let's say you get an $8 RR but only paid $6 because of coupons, you are really only paying $6 when you spend the $8 RR. So, in that case it should be easy to beat Wallyworld.

Actually, I did get that part of your post/point, but I had no response to it. I responded to the part of your post where you went off on some thread crapping tangent / hate rant aginst Walgreens (Like some CVS employee would do). Most people are trying to have useful input or outake from these threads, not listen the never ending rants/arguments about which stores are ALWAYS better/cheaper.
I guess the same would go for me for talking about WM, but I do shop both places, as I see you do as well.
As far as the RR's go, I do consider total price paid for both items. or at least attribute half of the RR amount towards each item. Like so: You buy one FARR lotion @ $7.00 Then buy a Theraflu @ $6.69 & a candy bar for $.69 = $7.38 plus 5% tax rate of $0.72, minus the $7 RR = Compared to WalMart at Lotion $6 Theraflu $5 = $11, plus $0.55 tax = $11.55
Savings of $3.45 over WM...Not as much as their fake advertising would have you believe, but for certain items it can be okay. Then compound those savings to those people buying more than one, or even 100, and savings can be as much as $345.00. Add to that, if a person then sold the Farr item for a lot less than WM sells for, say it sold for $3 each. That would make for some pretty good deals...If you had the time....
Or you could just pay the 6 cents less that WM is telling you they are giving you, but then I do not know why you would reading ANYTHING at FW.
You have to buy RR deals that you want, need, or are going to something with, otherwise, yes it is just a waste of money (Maybe some other greed or hoarding problems also). I see a lot of deals for lots of stuff here on FW. I do not spend my money on all of them because that would be a waste and NOT a deal. I also do not go into every thread I don't like and start complaining about it. I also hate when I have to read when other people do it...
