Went to Walgreens this week while travelling to buy a replacement Gillette Fusion (manual, not battery operated) razor + blades, and was pleased to see that they are doing the $6 savings in Register Rewards again. Searched and didn't see this posted (last thread was end of September) so I wanted to share with the FW community.
Net price of $1.50 / cartridge is hot given the regular retail on just the blades.
The $6 register rewards savings appears as a register printed coupon for $6 off a future Walgreens purchase of $6 or more. You may or may not be able to bring the purchase price lower with coupons, but some people reported last month that this would cause the RegisterRewards coupon not to print.
In addition to the regular fine print, the coupon also states that it is not valid on P&G (Proctor & Gamble) products, so you probably can't use the coupon to buy another razor, etc.
Please also realize that these razors are normally locked up, so you will have to get an associate to unlock the cabinet in the aisle. Depending on how busy / slow they are, this could take some time and may decrease the value of the deal for you (time = money).
For those of you who regularly shop at Walgreens, though, this is a great deal. Asst. Mgr at the store said this should last until at least the end of the week.
Thanks for posting this, but the real deal here is if you have a manufacturer's coupon for the razor, which would make it free or better after the $6 RR coupon. Most people here would never consider paying for a razor, given the deals out there.
Agreed. Others reported last month, though, as I noted in thr original post, that when they used the 4 dollar off Mfg coupon, it prevented the RR coupon from printing.
I know that a "make $1" post gets more action and interest, but that seemed to be misleading to me, given that it might cause you to lose the RR.
I wouldn't think of this so much as a razor deal, but rather a cheap way to buy blades.

This deal has been going on all month. I have bought over 20 razors already with the $4 MQ. The RR you get, if you use it in the next purchase of the razor, will get you another RR.
I've been buying the razor + DenTek floss + small filler - $4MQ - $6RR (from the previous one) = $1.xx + $6RR + $2RR for floss

I'm a newbie - how do RRs work? Can you apply it to the purchase you're buying or do you have to use it on another purchase. Moneynomore makes this look like it would be great for my bf if only I can understand it.
The RR's come out of the receipt printer after you've made the required purchase. So if you razors that have Register Rewards, the RR prints out after you've paid for the item. RRs can be used on future purchases.
Also, if you get RRs on a razor, then buy another razor and pay for it with the RRs you got from the same deal, the RRs USUALLY will not print out again. If you want to buy another razor, use RRs earned from another deal or pay cash in order to get the razor RRs again.

Some of the RRs do roll. The Gillette ones and the Halls are doing it this month.
I finally used up my last razor coupon. If you still have them and don't want to deal with RRs, Target has the Gillette on clearance for $4.08 - $4MQ = $0.08.
