see PAGE 7 of ad scan for details

If it is true, that will be very sweet.

Just saw a HCW ad scan w/ the GoS advertised on page 9 of the Rite Aid circular for the week starting Nov. 22-- I'm so excited!!!

Thanks MC

Out of curiosity....I submitted my previous gift of savings within the first week. Got the 20.00 back a week later. Then towards the end of the program, they sent out another? Computer glitch? Maybe someone accidently erased any records of earlier redemptions?

Glitch, this happened to a few people.

If I use the $20 Fall GOS certificate as payment when buying stuff for this one, will the purchase count?

it should.

I missed out on this last year. Is the deal so good because it's used in conjunction with FAR items? Or is there some other deal I'm missing with this?

yes in part. also, they other trick is to simply find receipts laying on the ground in the parking lot (or, ahem, in the trash) and enter them. those too will add up towards your $100.01 spend.

sometimes, you get a windfall...i.e. the $30 Bayer Glucose Monitor coupons in the paper. If they sell for $29.99, then give the manufacturer coupon to cover the cost, you still get credit for the $29.99 on the gos program.

Is the rebate limit typically 1 per name/address?

yes, they do enforce that too.

How do they enforce the one per address rule? If you request a second gift of savings using the same address, what will they do? Just ignore your second request or what?

yes, that's correct. unless you are in an apartment building I suppose.

Thanks for posting OP. Link do google docs not working though.

When you click the link in the OP some extra stuff is inserted before the actual URL.

Just copy/paste the link and it should be fine.

all this was covered in the weekly RA thread for week of 11/22

Another free $20.

Thank you for shopping at Rite Aid and participating in the Holiday Gift of Savings program. Our records indicate you have qualified for a Holiday Gift of Savings certificate. As a courtesy to you for being a loyal Rite Aid member, we have requested your certificate for you. You will receive your certificate within 2 to 3 weeks.

Had $150+ (SCR items plus fillers) after only 8 days and I haven't even entered the multiple MM Dulcolax receipts (will use them for another account).

It's been slim pickings with parking lot / trash bin receipts, but I'm not going to need any this round.

P.S. I still have two $20 Fall GOS certificates to use. It's hard to work them into deals when my OOP hovers around $0. Actually, I did have a $13+ OOP last week with the colon cleanse.

may I recommend rolling the GOS into a Rite Aid gift card if you can make it fly. That way, you spend your OOP as needed off the gift card and don't have to eat the $20 all in one purchase.

best way to do that is...

buy a bunch of cheap .50 and $1 items with it. (like the free tissues AC). if you give the GOS in when you have actual items along with the GC, they tend not to be as picky. of course YMMV

If you have the Oral Care book from this fall, this is a good week to use it and convert a Fall GoS into cash.
1 Oral B Vitality Toothbrush $19.99 ($10 Oral B rechargeable TB from Oral Care Book)
1 Fusion Razor $9 ($4 P&G insert q)
1 Fusion Razor Gift Set $13.99 ($4 P&G insert q)
1 Oral B toothbrush $2.49($1 P&G insert q)
1 AMO Complete $7.99($1 SS insert q)
$5/25 RA q

Can also do the Olay BOG50% off in combination with the coupon from the P& G insert for free lotion wyb body wash. I got Olay Body Wash $5.49 and Olay Body Lotion $7.49.
Register takes 50% off the cheaper item and coupon deducts full price of the Lotion. 50% off $5.49 = $2.89 - $7.49
Oop will be over $20, use fall GoS and get back $5 Fusion, $5 Fusion Gift Set, $7.99 AMO, $1.50 Oral B, $7 Vitality toothbrush.

I bought an Amazon GC w/ one fall GoS. Converted 2 others into cash w/ BeneVia & Colon Cleanse, bought a 75% off digital frame w/ another. Except for the Amazon GC all of the purchases have qualified towards Holiday GoS. Have already requested 4 Holiday GoS and just found another $100 worth of receipts on top of trash at entrance to the store. There were lots more but I don't have SCR accounts for them

That's all well and good (and thanks for the scenarios) ... but you're forfeiting at least $10 (2 x $5/$20 cpns) by combining the order to get $20+ OOP. In other words, you could split this scenario into 3 orders (with some small fillers) and use 3 x $5/$20 instead of just one $5/$25.

I'll probably just use 2 or 3 out of my 4 remaining Fall GOS to get the "Free" digital photo frames.

Yeah, I know I'm "forfeiting" but I'm impatient and want to convert them to cash as soon as I can. I also don't have the time to create the scenarios and do more than a couple of transactions a week.

You'll get no complaints from your 4-legged kids using that strategy.

That reminds me ... my poor kitty has been out of treats for weeks; time to see if Rite Aid or CVS has any on clearance.

I spend waaaaaaaay too much time reading the boards and doing Drugstore deals.

NM.. I found the info I needed

Nice suggestion but my kitties have a year's worth of (free) cat treats courtesy of catalina promos and we get their food at PETsMART using GC's from other deals I'll get the occasional can of Fancy Feast at RA but OMG its $.99/can vs. $50/can at the grocery store.

I could spend all day reading boards and running deals but work gets in the way... and after all, work does pay more than I make doing deals.

I hit the jackpot at RA today. I found a $75 receipt in the trash! It was all qualifying stuff, it was from over a week ago so it clearly immediately and even had a $1 Crest rebate on it. I don't see how someone can throw out a receipt like that, if for nothing other than returns. It even had $26 worth of Health Care reimbursement eligible items on it, but I am not doing that this year. My son will be getting a $20 RA GOS certificate at school. Turns out this store must put receipts they find in the baskets in the bag recycle container in the store lobby. They had plenty of receipts in there today!

billrubin said: I don't see how someone can throw out a receipt like that, if for nothing other than returns. These are the same people that throw the box away before making sure 1) the item is in working order, 2) they want to keep it, or 3) before cutting out the UPC for rebate.

Received Holiday GoS. Expires April 30, 2010. Now to work on cashing it out...

Let us know if you find a good scenario for "cashing out".

I totally forgot all about this and missed my $100 in purchase by $15. Does somebody happen to have a receipt from before December 24, 2009 that they don't need? I'd really appreciate the info.

Love this promo
