Paragon Drive Backup 9.5 Professional - Free Download. As is usual with Paragon software giveaways, this is a limited time offer and this version is not the latest version of this software (current version is 10).
Download (32 bit and 64 bit). Register to get serial.

Cool they are giving it away, I got snagit 7 that way and it works fine even if the newer versions are better.

For backup I am happy with Synctoy so I will not be downloading this but I am sure others can use it.

Thanks op.

Just what I needed. Thanks!

Download and installation went very smooth. Thanks OP.

My understanding is that it IS the latest version, but all of Paragon's FREE programs are numbered .5 less than the PAY version.

Free until May 4th.

I doubt that. No reason for them to give away their newest products for free, that too the professional version, and in a giveaway that lasts for several days. On the other hand, it makes sense for them to give out a slightly older version as a teaser/demo to encourage people to buy the latest one. I don't know for sure, however.

Had no problems with other paragon software.
Sounds like a great deal if you don't backup.

I still use Drive Image pro for my XP machines- has never never failed in any way.
But I sprang for a a retail version of Acronis for vista, because I didn't want my innate cheapness to cost me two days of reformatting.
The Paragon should work fine if you need it. If you don't already back up, do so b4 you feel really really stupid when your HD fails.
Remember to keep a set of fairly recent backup disks off premises if you can just in case.

I have a wd 2 tb drive that i ended up removing the wd software (horrible) and had been using a program called syncback (their freeware version) http://www.2brightsparks.com/ overall it's working ok but I am thinking of trying this just to see if it's better, the backups for syncback are painfully slow.

The free products do not have the same tech support as the paid version hence the .5 version.

I think the discussion regarding the versions starts at comment #5 Giveaway of the Day It was a different product, but still by Paragon.

Regardless, good deal.

Paragon giveaways, discounted offers tend to be crippled versions of the real thing; end up having to pay the full ride for all desirable, necessary features

This is v.9.5. The current version for sale is 10.
There is no list of features or anything about 9.5, so don't know what it is missing compared to v.10.

They did not send me product key and serial number. Only password.

I have been using Paragon software to make images of my hard drives.

I find it more comprehensible than Acronis.
