Pretty hot deal if you are looking for one. Could this be because be of a potential error that the Mobile Media Base shouldn't have been included, but is and can be removed from the configuration?

is it missing web camera too? Also, i got an email for a single use 10% coupon this morning (from the spp place). A little more discount than the 5% one
This seems like a pretty good deal, especially with the Office 2007 upgrade (free upgrade to Office 2010 when it is available).
Anyone have any experience with these laptops? I like to use them as my main office computer and get the docking stations, but this one's docking station says VGA-only, which won't work for me, but I can remove it and add the Replicator w/ Digital Video to get DVI.
I used to have a 14" T41 and loved it. Then I upgraded to a 15.4" T61 and really disliked the bulk. I'm wondering if I should go to a 14" T410 next or experiment go go with this 12" X201...

They may have removed the ability to deselect the "Mobile Media Base". You can uncheck the box but then it auto-refreshes with the box checked. If I'm missing something let me know.
edit: nvm, tried it in IE and it works fine.

I think it depends how constraining a 1280x800 pixel display would be for the work you do. If you're using big apps like Photoshop or Visual Studio it will get old fast, but for browsing the web and e-mail it's an excellent and super portable machine. There's no touchpad (although I think it's an option these days) so that might be a negative for some people--I personally love trackpoints though.

When I'm mobile, usually e-mail and web are all I need. When I'm using Adobe CS4, I'm hooked up to a port replicator with a 22" external monitor. I'm assuming the graphics card on this thing would be able to output at 1650x1080, right? I would ONLY buy this if I could do that using the "USB Replicator w/ Digital Video" base they offer.
