couple of destinations only took $5 off regular rate without discount. Think you'd be hard pressed to find any anywhere close to 50%

Not available for the hotel in the city we are headed to - no matter what date I put in it shows "not available for that date" Hopefully it will work for someone.

I went through the FW link and got a price $10 below Hotwire price. And yes you put the person that is on the link on your voucher. You are a friend of hers if she gave you her name for the voucher. Hope I get the 6% CB.

The required rate voucher requires an IHG employee number. Where do we get an employee number?

My voucher just asked for a name, not an employee number ...

This rate doesn't earn priority club points, just an FYI
Fantastic. My usual hotel in UK went from 88 pounds per night to 52. The best I saw last year on the F&F rate was 36!

I see the rate reduced to around 50% for a location in Los Angeles.
But the voucher said "booked between June 1, 2009 to Sept 30,2009" - any thoughts??
It would be a great rate if it works.

Wow, I just realized that link gives an employees full name. That's pretty sleazy if she doesn't know you are posting this to a public forum.

This promo has been around for a while. The employees are encouraged to give out these links to the public.

I only stated it was wrong to post the link "IF" (yes, I stated "if" in the post!) the person who's name shows up doesn't know! If she does, so be it. With identity theft so rampant, anyone who goes to that link now has a person's full name and the company they work for. Two key pieces of information in stealing one's identity. Would you want your name and place if employment posted to a public forum? I know I wouldn't.

Not trying to be a "buzz kill" but read on.
This is a good deal BUT a few caveats are in order. As mentioned previously you will NOT get Priority Club points for the stays you book using this promotion. However perhaps the biggest caveat using this deal is your credit card will be charged for the entire amount before you check in and it is ENTIRELY NOT REFUNDABLE. This means ANY changes to your reservation (after traveling for more than 30 years in business and pleasure it happens more than you think!) like a simple change in check in or check out dates you lose the TOTAL amount as if the reservation is canceled and you must start over with a new reservation (no exceptions). Here is the actual language from the web site:
"IHG Friends and Family Rate
DESCRIPTION: Reservations require full prepayment for the entire stay at time of booking. Fully non-refundable. Prepayment is charged to credit card between time of booking and day of arrival and is non-refundable. No refunds if cancelled or changed. PC Points do not apply. "
So if you can predict with absolute certainty there will NOT be any changes in your itinerary or schedule than you're golden; otherwise you lose
i checked the boston beacon hill Holiday Inn and the daily rate was about $40 cheaper than Expedia. i'm not going but will pass this info on to a friend who will be going.

the person (Christy) posted this on another internet board. Holiday Inn employees are encourged to share this program, this was not posted without her permission (which she gave for people to use on the deal board on found this). So please...chill out.

I am quite "chill", it seems to be you and some others that may not be. I merely made an observation in the name of concern for another person. If what you say is true, that she is aware of this posting then the qualifier "if she doesn't know" in my posting comes into play and there is no issue.

could you enlighten me: aren't millions of individuals' "full names and Co." are all over the internet, starting with almost every company's website?

They ask for a employee number on the voucher. I've gone through this thread and the one on SD and didn't see anything about what to put in for the employee number.
Any ideas?

Who asked you for employee number? See step # 2 on the voucher: "Complete and print the voucher below and present at the time of check-in.
IHG Employee: _______________ Destination Hotel: _______________ Arrival Date: _______________ Number of Nights: ___________ Number of Rooms: ____________ Confirmation Number: ______________
The voucher does not ask for employee number. You will get the confirmation number after you made the reservation. Good luck!

You are right - I was seeing the "*" after employee and somehow translating it into a "#".

Which Holiday Inn does Christy work at? The link only gave us the full name of Christy. I am afraid that some holiday inns might try to verify Christy's identity upon check in.
