that's ok i've seen them for like $6-7 each w/ free shipping on those group buy sites.

I'd go with flojos they do not go between your toes - far more comfortable

I've bought Havaianas on sale at Urban Outfitters for $10 in-store...

Not really a great sale but a good chance to get the best thong flip flops on earth if you don't already have some. http://us.havaianas.com has free shipping for three pairs or more and the complete collection to choose from. The price has been coming down here in the US over the past years as they have been gaining in popularity. These are worth every penny and will last for years even with daily use.

It still amuses me that people are willing to spend so much on these. In Brazil these are the equivalent of dollar store sandals.
(I mean in price not quality)

similar ones are available for as cheap as $0.37 FOB

I am not sure how much it would cost to order a run of green ones with the FW logo on top

apparently this one allows for heat transfer printing --- http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/294916431/New_Heat_Transfer_Printing_Slipper.html

When was the last time you were in Brasil to buy these? While they did cost the equivalent of $3 back in 2002-2003 when the exchange rate was $R4:$1US, currently they are the equivalent of $6-12US depending on which you purchase. The only reason they are as cheap as they are is because EVERYONE wears them, from the bums on the streets to the CEOs. If they had that kind of use here they would be just as cheap.

Legitimate Havaianas are still made in Brasil, there have been poor excuses at knock-offs since the 1970s, including most of the flip-flops sold at WalMart today.

I shopped for these in Sao Paulo and Rio earlier this year for gifts. They ranged from ~$10us at the local supermarket (very similar to WalMart) to over $20 at airport and hotel giftshops.

The reason they are so expensive is because Brazil is very very good at restricting imports. Checking out the malls, all imported goods appear to be double in price or more....

The quality is about the same as cheap $2 Chinese flipflops. (I'm not bashing Chinese goods, but the cheapest flipflops do indeed come from China).
