Normally, OfficeMax's DVD selection is limited and overpriced, but today I noticed an interesting combination. The DVD display said that all DVDs $9.99 and under were buy 1, get 1 free. This isn't anything special either, as this is the price of many of these films elsewhere, but then there was also a movie cash promo on several of the discs. The movies I can remember were

Casino Royale
Steel Magnolias
My Best Friend's Wedding
Mona Lisa Smile
Stranger than Fiction
Talladega Nights
Cadillac Records

There were others that I can't remember.

So for $9.99, you get 2 DVDs and $20 in movie cash, which seemed decent.

The movie cash was for The Other Guys, Salt, or one other movie that escapes me. There was a similar deal for the new Karate Kid movie too, but with different DVDs.

Perhaps others can fill in the gaps on the third movie or the other eligible DVDs.

I believe the other eligible move is Eat, Pray, Love.
I have been seeing these on many movies elsewhere as well. I almost think they were randomly applied.

Went to my OM and many of the DVDs had the sticker removed. From the last promo, the movie code was on the back of the sticker.

does anyone know when the BOGO sale expires?

I just noticed this thread, but it's already Sunday, which usually means the end of a previous sale and the start of a new sale. I hope I can still get my chance to enjoy the deal. Otherwise, paying $10 for a DVD and a movie ticket is really not that hot.

thanks!
