These are Beretta 92FS semi auto pistols chambered for 9mm. Have a 4.9in barrel and come with one 15rd magazine. These will show duty use and wear from carry, but are in solid mechanical condition. In good to very good condition. Grip and sight styles may vary per pistol. Picture is a representative of the good to very good condition pistol. This is the updated FS model, similar to the M9 used by US Military
Didn't I see some 92FS police trade-ins just a few weeks ago for $299? I can't remember for certain, so I'm not gonna give red, but I'm pretty sure that's what I saw.
For $10 more, I'd go with a brand-new pistol by their sister company, Stoeger.
When I was shopping around for a new pistol, I ended up settling on one and I love it. 15+1, 9mm and uses interchangable parts from the Beretta 8000-series. It has great balance and I couldnt ask for a gun that fits my hand better.
I have a Cougar, runs like a champ and eats everything I have. Shoots well enough in matches and the only thing I did was paint over the white dots in the sight posts with fluorescent paint. Having said that, the gun share some ergonomics, but are worlds apart. The Cougar is a smaller frame and uses the rotating barrel design instead of the locking block barrel design on the full sized 92. Both are great shots, but there are size and design differences.
Both are great guns, but the Cougar is currently made by Stoegar which is a subsidiary of Beretta. The Cougars are made on the same tools and machinery that Beretta used when they manufactured the Beretta Cougar. Same tools, same company, same gun, but lower price. The Stoegar Cougars slides are marked Accokeek, MD, which is, not surprisingly, home to the Beretta US HQ.
Can someone who bought one comment on what it came looking like? Most police guns show basic holster wear and could use a good cleaning, they're usually not abused. Not kept in velvet either, but they also usually have very low usage and have mostly been carried and worn a lot.
Now, Cabelas has these for $569 (new) this week on sale and if you use the Cabelas Cash Card ($150 gift card, which you can spend on the spot on ammo, holster), the net price comes to $419.99??! for a new 92FS.
The Cabelas cash card was mailed to just about every catalog customer last month, and there are a bunch kicking around out there. I've successfully used 2 so far for handgun purchases.
This is hot, however, if you don't have a Cabelas nearby.

I think there were some police trade-in Berettas, but they weren't the 92FS, if I remember correctly.
