Aside from the good price AR, is there something special to this model which would make us want to buy it?

It's a Lite-On OEM drive.

of course the price is the reason.
Please show me a link with lower price. thanks.

The thing is most of us already have a bunch of DVD drives, to the extent that we (some of us) can now even build "region-free towers" made up of DVD drives for each region. In other words, the market is saturated.

In this case, unless you are in immediate need of a spare drive, in order to buy yet another one, it has to have something special for us to bite.

This particular drive seems to have Lightscribe (can someone confirm), but I'm in no need for this feature. I may be too picky, and it could be great for others, though.

Yes, it does have LightScribe. Here is the specs from HP (link).

It was OOS at my store that Friday night although they only had 12 to start with in the morning. Then it was OOS online today but the stores received some shipment so I placed a store pickup order.

It is a better deal than the LITE-ON one I bought a couple weeks ago (link).
