No kidding, I picked up a Pixma from Frys for $30 couple of months ago just for that reason. Cheap ink reduces the TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) of a printer tremendously. Last time around the same 10 carts were $20.95 AC, this is the lowest price in a while.
Staples rewards also offer $2 back per ink cartridge so you would get $20 back. Last time I checked, there are no restrictions on canon ink. (I could be wrong!!) It is VERY tempting to order a compatible printer just because of this deal. Unlike Canon, Lexmark's ink cartridges are more expensive than some of their printer sales. Every time I use up the Lexmark ink, (which is frequently)I would just buy a new printer.

I have the Pixma Mx860 although the current model is Mx870(Virtually the same) it's nice but that MP990 has better features, but it also has a GRAY cartridge, which wont be covered by this deal.

Canon MX860 wireless all in one is currently on clearance (with pretty decent availability) at Staples, there is also currently a 15% off Staples coupon that brings the price down to $67.92. Combine it with this ink deal and it's a helluva package.

do I miss anything? After I add 2 sets into cart and apply the coupon, the price shows $33.90
To those of you who own a MX860, I have a question: I run through these inks very quickly. The fastest to run out is the 220, even though it has more ink than the other cartridges. Perhaps it is because I also print a lot in black. What puzzles me is that for every 5- (or even 6- or 7-) sets of the colored inks, I use up only 1 black 221. As a result, I have a whole stack of them. I don't understand why this happens, and how can I avoid it. Perhaps make "black" in "color", so the 221 is used instead of the 220? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Those "better features" don't include a document feeder, so no thanks The MX870 is a great machine (with a document feeder).

Great deal on these cartridges, OP. Green.
You HAVE NO IDEA OF WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT, THE 860 HAS THE EXACT SAME 'DOCUMENT FEEDER' as the 870

I think that Gator was saying that s/he preferred the MX870 over the MP990 because the MP990 does not have a document feeder (i.e., wasn't referring to the MX860 at all). Plus, there is no need to yell, hearing impairments do not affect reading ability.

Thanks SirVeyer, I missed it the last time, managed to snag it this time around, used PayPal (which had the green dot promotion deposited today) so saved an extra $5 off the $15 price on these inks, $10 not bad huh, and will get back $20 in rewards coupons from Staples when I turn in the empty inks. I love FW, thanks everyone!

Sardarji to the best of my knowledge the 15% coupon (for Staples) has expired. There is a 10 off 25 Office Depot coupon that expires tomorrow which you can use or (like I did) pay $2-3 and buy a 25 off 75 from eBay (or e-junkie).
Recommend you check their daily deals daily. They have had this ink deal at least 3 times in the past couple months. I would bet that they will offer the deal again before the end of November.
Wow, what a deal. I just bought the Canon MX860 All in one and love it very much and got it on demo sale from Staples for $63. The only thing was all the inks were dry and it was $75 for all the 221's and 220. Still thrilled with the deal, but this is the best price for the inks. Thank you OP!
I must add that Canon's customer service was awesome. They overnighted me the software disk and owners manual free and were beyond helpful.

The ink deal is back on for today at Meritline. Didn't have to wait long.

But it says this isn't the new generation cartridge you need for the MX870? The page says they'll have the new generation cartridges in November (and it's now November), but Meritline now says they won't have them in for a few weeks. Has anyone sucessfully used these old generation cartridges with an MX870 without problems?
Update: Since it has been over 2 weeks since I posted, and no one has responded, I'm thinking that's not a good sign. Does anyone have an MX870 (it apparently uses a new chip) and where's the cheapest place to get replacement OEM ink???
