Have 2 lifetime subscriptions and one regular that my son uses. Tried to get the $17.94 deal but unable. Settled for the 6 month for $25 plan. Also they asked if I was interested in a new unit. I said I was but wasn't interested in the $75 transfer fee. They said they would waive the fee and I purchased a Starmate 5 for $39. My original radio was 6 years old and the first 3 years had been transferred between vehicles until I purchased a second subscription. The antenna plug was about shot with 2 of the 3 prongs missing.

Just got 5 months “Sirius Premium” with Internet listening for $38.45. My 3 month trial ended a few days ago but they just cut it off today, so I called and told them that my “buddy” got 5 months for $25 and I’d like the same. He then said that it was for specific radios and I had to have a letter or an email from Sirius in order to get the deal but then he asked if I was renewing or starting a new radio to which I said it is a new subscription. Being that technically I didn’t have a subscription it was new & I got the promo. I’m pretty happy with it especially since I only have the car for 5 more months. Send me a PM if you need any help with details!

Ok, well here is an update to my origional post: It is that time of year again to renew my Sirus/XM subscription. The best rate I could get as of today was
3 months for $14.35 total.
This did not include internet. There were not any other fees. I wanted a longer term but the CR wouldn't budge.
I got the same 12.99 plus tax for 3 months. I told them I was quitting and that was the best they would offer and I have to call back in 3 months to negotiate again.

I tried to get the 3 months for $12.99 and she said they didn't have that offer, but did have the 5 months for $24.99, plus I added on the 3 months of online/phone access for $2.99. Plus fees and taxes of course.

Coming off a 6 month promotion I was offered full price, then $48/6months (including internet radio), pressed some more and settled with 5 months for $25 +$2.50 BS fee. So $27.50 for 5 months including internet radio. Calendar reminder set up for 5 months from now to call and bargain again...
WinterTexan said: Two years ago I signed up for the 5 months for $20 and they billed my Visa for $82. My account statement was a mess. After multiple calls they refunded $84 and left the service on for three months.

Got the 5 for 25 in the mail and was tempted to re-subscribe.
However there was a little star saying plus taxes and fees.
How much are these fees actually per month when you add the royalty fees and taxes?
Thanks!

I just called, seems as though the 6 month with internet radio is not for new/past customers, maybe only for renewing subscriptions wher eyou already have service?
Was offered 5/$20, but 2.99/month extra for internet radio service. Not Interested! Cant justify paying that for something I don't use constantly.

Just a reminder for those who are worried about billing troubles or auto-renewals..... For $2 they will mail you a invoice.

My $20/5 month deal was about to expire. I called the Sirius cancellation dept and was told it's no longer available. The offered me 50% off for 6 months, ($38.85, plus royalty charge, for a total of $42.80).

The 5 month for $25 was the best offered. But with taxes, fees, etc, it was up to $35! I tried to hold off for a better offer (no 3 for $13), so I told them to cancel. And they did!
I got a phone call the other day offering the 5 months for $24.95 and I took it. She also said they'd waive the reactivation fee. I somehow had a $1.6? credit that was also applied. Mine had cancelled September 26th and I didn't call back. Maybe don't call for a week or two and see if they call you offering that deal? I hope this helps some of you!

Called them, I got 4 months for 12.95+taxes. Pay for 1 month and get 3 months free. So $15 for 4 months is not bad.

For signing up after a trial subscription, they offer $77 for a year during a phone call I received this morning. That's not too bad, but if you ask for it, they will give you the internet radio portion for free. It took getting transferred to customer service, but threaten to cancel and they'll throw it in without hesitation. I didn't push for anything else, as it may not even worth your time beyond that!
Called to renew radios 2 and 3 (first radio has Lifetime subscription). I had been paying about $58/year for each additional radio. The best offer the CSR could come up with was the $77/year price. So I told him to cancel the additional radios. He then magically found the $26.97 / 6 months (plus fees and taxes) price in his system. I took it. It comes out to less than $30 per radio for the half-year.
He wouldn't budge on free internet service, which I had been getting for the last year. So that did get cancelled. I continue to have the lower-quality stream online because of my lifetime subscription, but that won't work on my Android phone. I may call them again to try to get the free upgraded stream sometime soon, but for now I'll live without it.
At least I got a native English speaker in Omaha, not somebody in India (I called at 1PM EST).

I renewed recently at the 77 for the year. They threw in a year of internet listening for 22, making the total charge 99. No taxes/fees added on top of the 99.

Just renewed today (Dec 2nd) for 5mo @ $25. Was also offered 1 year at $85. I had a credit on my account for my existing service, so out the door it was under $25 including taxes and fees.

Yesterday I called 877 575-3253 from a "last chance savings" mailing in October offering $5/month for 5 months. They offered 6 months for $24.99 ending up $29.62 after fees & taxes. The rep then said i see a balance past due of $17.81 that you can pay with CC. I told him I didn't feel I owed it and to give me their mailing addy to send a check for the $17.81 and be done with Sirius/XM. He then then said he could wave the balance and activation fee so i said h3ll yes!

My 5 mo for $25 was set to expire tomorrow, so I called 866-635-2349 to either cancel or renew at a discount. Selected Cancellation from the voice menu. Made sure I was pleasant to the CS rep (Lisa), and said it was not worth getting full price charged on my card for a renew. She immediately offered the 6 months for $25 ($29.40 with taxes, etc.) and I accepted. I also asked to not have it billed to my card, and she was very helpful in giving me the payment address information so I could do a bank bill-pay. She told me there would be $2 invoicing fee unless my payment arrived before the invoice was sent, so I set up the bank payment, so I set up the bank payment right after the call. Overall a very good experience.

Good ol' Sirius.
Called to renew my 6 for $25 plan. Can't do it, so asked to cancel. Put me through to cancellations. 12 for $86++? No thanks, too much. 6 for $42++. No thanks, same price. Hate to lose you as a customer... I'll give you 2 months free. At that time you can call back and cancel or renew.
Thanks again Sirius!
EDIT: And now when I look at my account, I have an almost $20 credit. Weird and wacky stuff. =) We'll see how that plays out in March.

Called today to cancel. Was offered $43.99/6mo. Politely declined. Rep said I see you were on a 5mo/$25 plan, and he extended it another 5mo. Easy 5 minute call.

2 free months pass so quickly. I called back in today. $159/year is their promo - best they can do. Asked to cancel. Transferred. Hello, we do have a promotion today - $25 incl. tax for 5 months. Signed up. See you in August.

4/2/12 Just got the 5mo/$25 plan...3rd time now...that somehow came to $26 & change with all fees. My current balance was for $15 for the current month almost ending that was also waived after 2 months for free that was the last deal offered. I had to talk to the cancellation dept. before they would offer anything close to this rate. This is for my wife's car radio that she listens to only once in a while. Not worth $15/month. They insisted that I sign up for the auto renewal to my credit card to do this, but said I can cancel the auto renewal at any time...(like tomorrow) so they don't charge the regular rate next September. And it only wasted an hour of my time on the phone! ( We may have a data plan on my wife's phone in 5 months that I can get Pandora on so next time we likely will cancel and hook the car radio up via the phone to Pandora. We have a lifetime subscription on a second radio that now is finally turning out to be a great deal. The only "trick" is to be nice to the reps. They are just doing their job!

I ENDED UP PAYING $148.65 FOR SIRIUS PREMIUM PLUS INTERNET FOR ONE YEAR. I'M TIRED OF CALLING EVERY 5 MONTHS AND DEALING WITH THIS CRAP. THE WOMAN I SPOKE WITH WAS LOCATED IN MANILA, PHILIPPINES AND HER NAME IS MONIQUE. NOT THAT IT MATTERS, JUST INTERESTING! I TRIED TO GET THE $75 A YEAR DEAL AND SHE OFFERED IT TO ME BUT IT DIDN'T INCLUDE THE BEST OF XM, WHICH I NEED FOR THE "OPIE & ANTHONY" SHOW. I ONLY CALLED TWICE AND I'M SURE IF I CALLED BACK A FEW MORE TIMES I COULD HAVE GOTTEN A BETTER DEAL, BUT NOT FOR A YEAR!

Seriously, all you need to do is say when you call, is that you need to cancel. They transfer you to the cancellation department and then they deals start coming in....it's so easy it's ridiculous.
