I'm not sure if this is the case with everyone, but I now HATE opening my Amazon appstore app. It takes forever to load (likely due to the amount of apps I own).

I use app2sd to store it on my 32gb micro SD card.
yeah, I'm getting pretty frustrated with the Amazon App Store app, too.
It is big and clunky and seems to really bog down on my SGIII. Additionally, and more importantly, I use Tapatalk alot on my Nexus 7 and I can't seem to stay signed in to the app store. Thus, almost every new day I launch the app, it won't run until I sign into the Amazon app again. I'm about to just buy Tapatalk from Google Play and just dump Amazon.
Same as mine, slow and chunky. I managed to restored back to older version (around June/2012) and it still loads 15MB.

Agreed. It is starting to become pointless for me to have this app. I don't remember the last "free app" I actually downloaded, the quality of the offerings has really gone downhill.
Add this to Amazon's lagging updates on apps (compared to Google), and their own bloated marketplace app, and I find I rarely log in to see what the app of the day is anymore.

The new interface is also less pleasant than the old one. It takes longer to load, freezes more often, and is not as easy navigable because there are more things on the screen.
