Simple - this is on next week's flyer, available online now. BTW, I do wish to be a Staples spy.

The priceis still 159.99 now though.

I see a Seagate 1TB for 89.99.

Late for what?
Late for France? Late for the East Coast?

They are not late. They go by Pacific time.

Go to the store website and see for it yourself.

wow thats what I'm looking for. BTW I couldn't find "Get a $25 off $75" coupon
Thank you so much!

Coupons are available on eBay all the time: $25 off $75 coupons

Order 2 already. thanks so much.

If you do a search for WD harddrives, it lists the Western Digital Elements 1TB Portable Hard Drive for 79.99 which would be 55 plus tax after coupon. Not sure why price doesn't come up when adding to cart but this would be a cheaper option if you don't have the need for usb 3.0

Great price for a good product. Will pick one up.

The size on Western Digital Elements 1TB Portable Hard Drive is bigger, and Essential SE give you better looking outside. Some people do go for style.

Thanks for the info. That's good to know.

This drive has an instant -$10 coupon. Anyone with experience in applying the 25 off 75 coupon together? Will I get -$35 off?

Had to jump on this like white on rice. Was gonna buy a 750gb model for same price last week. No brainer on this move

The WD Passport Essential SE uses a HDD whose system board has a USB connector, not a SATA connector. That's why it's smaller than the WD Elements Portable. The Elements uses a standard SATA drive, with the extra space in the case taken up by a SATA to USB board. The Passport Essential SE has a much smaller adapter which just converts from the drive's proprietary USB pin-out to mini-USB. There are plenty of user-submitted pics of this on Amazon's listing for the USB 2.0 version of this drive.

(Bleh, FW's redirect is breaking the link. Just click on the right-most photo with "notes" underneath it.)

So don't buy this planning to pop it open and remove the HDD to use in another system. It won't work because it doesn't have a SATA interface.

A friend has this, and it's a nice drive - small and quiet. Due to its USB-only interface, it really needed USB 3.0 to shine, which the model in this deal has, so now you can add fast to its list of adjectives. Benchmarks are pretty close to what you'd expect with this type of drive plugged straight into a SATA port. The notebookreview benchmarks are a little slower, but after playing around with different USB 3.0 devices and ports, I'm convinced the problem is that some USB 3.0 chipsets just don't play as nice with each other.

Got a 25 off 75 coupon from e-junkie site and when tried using it, i rcvd error msg. "Coupon already redeemed". So I tried checking out as Guest, but got the same error msg and then I created a new account and received same error message yet again. I see a few others got coupons from this website but for some reason the coupon emailed to me just doesn't work on any account. Emailed them thrice but no reply yet. Tried calling their 714-xxx-xxxx listed on PayPal but it says "Ph cannot be reached". Kinda fishy for me till now. Hope they respond soon, before this goes OOS. Oh well, my $0.69. ;-((. Hey.. don't laugh.. that's 69 pennies right there. Money is money.. Aaaarrgghh.. Green for OP though

peacenoel said:   Wow how do you know it will be on deal on Sunday? R u Staples spy?

Looks like you owe the OP an apology, I just checked and it IS $89.99 now.

Thanks OP for a great post!

The code I received is valid by using guest checkout to redeem. Thanks.

I also got 'Coupon Already Redeemed.' with the coupon though it was delivered fast.
I cannot really use guest checkout i think since i want to my rewards coupon also.

Did not work..but I just saved $65.88.
Thanks OP!

Purchased a coupon from eBay.
Waited for 20 minutes.. no emails
Purchased another coupon from e-junkie
Received coupon code immediately
Added the item to cart and applied the coupon. Total looks as expected
Went back to the product description to make sure that it is indeed the 2.5" drive
Tried to submit the order. Error "Coupon Already Redeemed. We're sorry, but our records show that the coupon has already been used. Please correct the coupon code or use another coupon."
By this time the other coupon code arrived
Tried to add that coupon. Same error. "Coupon Already Redeemed. We're sorry, but our records show that the coupon has already been used. Please correct the coupon code or use another coupon."

Net effect:
eBay coupon code: $1.67
e-junkie coupon code: $ .69

Total for coupon codes: $2.36

Total saved by not purchasing the item: $65.88

Thanks OP. In 4 1.

I'm in 4 1. Great, was looking forward to buy it trough Amazon, so you saved me 15 Buck great

great. i got the 25 of 75 coupon on eBay,

Hmmm, my order status shows "Researching", and |We're sorry, but problems with your order may prevent us from delivering it on time. |

Does anyone know what that means?

Bought a e-junkie coupon and it was already redeemed =(

Edit: They fixed my coupon rather quickly

Might be low probability of this happening, but they could be comparing your coupon code against your rewards number. Did you use a bunch of coupons at once?

Skipping 23 Messages...
Back again, and cheaper. On-line price is $79.99, so $54.99, if you can the coupon to work.
