It has been reported on SD that McAfee through its rebate processor, Parago, has started to enforce a one per product restriction on its rebates. Until this is sorted out, submitting more than one rebate per product is not advised even if the rebate has a different rebate number and different offer period. The rebate invalidation message has been reported as "Your rebate request did not pass our audit process".
Can you shed some light on the upgrades for the FAR titles?
Is it simply only the last version of the exact title that qualifies? I'm guessing that's def the case with the checksoft, but not quite sure on the Norton Utilities (if any other Norton title would fly as a "previous" version). THANKS!

In the past I've done the Utilities and they took a bunch of stuff including a McAfee title.

For Norton, either any Norton/Symantec title or any company's "antivirus, firewall, antispam, antispyware, utility, or back up software product" will satisfy the upgrade rebate requirement. It does not have to be last years (2011) version.
Still do not know about Checksoft. Only one of the two rebates is listed on Office Depot's rebate site. This is usually the case with onbox/inbox rebates especially from Avanquest (and Nova for that matter). Most of the time the onbox/inbox rebates are googleable but I could not locate this rebate.

This requires purchase of some OfficeDepot check paper or something like that within 30 days of purchasing the software. I am not sure how much that costs or if we can use other deals. Anyway, I will upload the details for this & other on box rebates later today.

Anybody buy the check paper? I got Checksoft and cut everything out then noticed the check paper detail (DOH!). I'm thinking about taping it all back together and returning it since I'm pretty sure that the check paper will kill the deal. I recommend removing it OP.

Call OD and tell them, there was never any mention of purchasing the check paper in their FAR offer and that's what enticed you to buy it. They may send you a check or refund your CC for the $20.
I was able to pm to Staples $40 price showing the OD ad that states manufacture rebate (as opposed to OD rebate). $40 is a small chunk of the big rewards check I have.
