Staples said: How do Staples coupons and rebates contribute to the Staples price? When calculating a price match, we’ll deduct any available Staples coupons, Staples Rebates (instant, easy or mail–in) and manufacturer rebates from the Staples price to arrive at a net price. For example, if you buy an item from us for $100 and we offer a $20 instant rebate, the net price is $80. If another company’s price is $80 or more, we will not match the price. Another example: if you buy an item from us for $159 and you have a $30 coupon, the net price is $129. If another company’s price is $125, your price match would be $4.
Good deal if you need this now. But if you can wait, Staples has run deals on the 1TB version several times recently. Use a 25/75 coupon on the $79.99 sale price and you have a 1TB drive for $55 + tax + coupon cost (if any).

I got a call from Staples stating that you are not allowed to use other people's coupon or buy coupons online. They said they would let my order go this time but going forward not to use coupons that are sold online...any one have any suggestion ? I used guest acc for checkout but stil they found out

What is inside of these? A Caviar Blue? Caviar Blue…However, future deals on both internal and external hard drives through the holiday season may be hard to find. Despite several recent online articles trying to minimize the effects the recent floods in Thailand, the fact remains that hard drive prices on most popular sites like Newegg and Buy.com have already more than doubled from prices just 2 weeks ago. For example a Western Digital Caviar Blue that Newegg was offering on a weekly basis all summer for $40 is now over $90.

Yeah that is what I am afraid of. Our laptop that gets all the movies put on it is maxed out, so I was going to sit and wait for a 750GB Caviar Black deal or for a Hitachi 7200 RPM. As a stopgap, I might just grab this to offload some media onto. I'm sure I can find some use for the drive later.
I was also going to put together a 4 bay NAS this fall, to solve all my storage needs (with redundancy), but if I am going to pay an arm and a leg for 3TB bare drives, I'll just wait.
I so thought this was a 1TB at first and I was going to get one! AHH! I remember the days when my Mac had 1 GB (desktop mind you) and I thought there was no way I would ever need that much!
