Note that this is not the professional L-series lens, which includes IS (in-lens stabilization to enable slower shutter speeds without camera shake affecting the image). However, aside from the IS, this lens provides 95% of the optical quality of the L lens for a much cheaper price. Green for this modest deal on a great lens.

thanks OP - just ordered 1 from BB. waiting for fw CashBack (it says 1 to 3.6%) - hopefully it is 3.6 and btw, discover card has 10% CashBack ..
