d'oh. I just bought the Staples TurboTax offer yesterday. Should've waited for this. Oh well.

I know a lot of people locked in at the $13.95 deal last month; I was holding out for this one. Glad I waited, saved me a couple bucks. I've used this online software for three years now, love it!

I clicked on the $17.95 link and regiestered, but I dont see "checkout" or the $11.90 price. All I get is to begin my taxes. Can someone point me in the right direction?

double post

Yeah I've used it the last two years and was pretty happy with it. I missed the $14 offer and wasn't sure if it was going to drop again so I jumped on the TurboTax for $25 - $5gc.

Can someone point me in the right direction? There is no checkout, technically. You'll pay when you file. This process locks in the price at $11.90. If you used the link in the OP, you locked in the price. Your confirmation should have looked something like the screen clipping attached here.

just worked for me at 2:20 after logging in with last years info. I got this message:

Your TaxAct Fees
For TaxAct Online Ultimate, your fee is $11.90 and includes your Federal and State Return. Additional State Returns are $14.95. For more information, see "My TaxAct" within TaxAct Online. TaxAct Price Lock Guarantee

Thanks OP!

Yup, just got the 11.90 price screen also. Thanks OP.

Last time, I filed through Turbo Tax. the price is tempting but could not jump on becuase I do not want my documents stored in multiple places to save 50 bucks.
Any comments?
Should I switch to TaxAct forever?

tks got in

Thanks OP, got $11.90.

Oh this is ONLINE. OP please update title to add that. I came looking for boxed or local downloadable version -- will skip -- don't like to fill and file online, general distrust of arbitrary clouds-in-motion .... also can't do offline away from networks

I didn't know that TaxAct had B&M stuff. lol. Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks OP!

Thanks

Got one, don't know if I need to print the screenshot for the $11.90, what if they claim the price is $17.95?

They sent an email confirmation with $11.90 price to me afterwards.

I'm in as well, thanks OP.

worked for me.

Still worked at 9:10pm EST. Thanks, OP.

alextan

Thanks OP.

does not work for returning users...says email address already used...

Thanks OP

Thanks, OP. I really like that you get to lock in the price but can still change your mind if you find something cheaper/better in the future.

mine still says $13.95 --- but I am not complaining

WRONG gvayl...
I am a returning user with the same email address, all you need to do is choose an alternative USER name.

I have been using TacAct since 2003, maybe even a few years earlier, very happy with their software. I got in on the previous deal for a few bucks more, any way to get this to replace that deal?I have

In for $11.90. Thanks OP.

Actually you can use the same username (and the same e-mail address). The page will then ask you to confirm the last 4 of your SS# to confirm that you are the same person... Then price is locked at $11.90 and you'll have a little bit less typing to do when you file.

That was easy, thanks

Left them last year due to better price elsewhere, but don't think anyone can beat this one.

Just signed up to, I'll compare this to TurboTax and see who gives me a bigger return! Thanks OP

I used same name and e-mail address and it worked fine.

how do I lock in to this price

I used the Fed+State, and bought another state, and then did one state by hand. It's been 'interesting times' over here.

$11.90+$14.95 well worth the cost over doing them by hand.
