looks solid. it even has "HDMI Standby Through" according to Pioneer's website.

OOS from Cent FL

That's the best price I've seen recently on an entry level 5.1/HDMI capable home theater receiver.

It's currently a similar price at Amazon if one prefers: Link

When I click the WM link, it says i'ts OOS online and not available at my local store.

Hello txtag below, you just reposted my link.

picked one up from Amazon.... $152 shipped

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004M8RPAY/ref=olp_product_deta...

Oops... Just double posted. Was posting at the same time..... Sorry!

be careful if you don't have HDMI control (CEC) capable devices, the pass through can not work.
In order to make it work, the device's HDMI control need to set enable. This rule apply to Pioneer receiver.

Regular price $229 (as per WM); Is it hot deal at $149? I think not. Amazon sells it for $3 more and no tax.

Yes, somebody said as much a few hours ago...

FWIW, according to camelcamelcamel, the lowest this receiver was priced was $140 on Cyber Monday.

Amazon link shows $179 for me now... am I missing something?

same here. what happened?

149.99 + sh Here.

Great receiver - picked this up from Best Buy last week and couldn't be happier. Same engine as the higher end VSX-921K without the wiz bang (air play etc, etc..)Wanted the Denon, but for $200 less it can't be beat.

I think you meant free shipping at Ben's Outlet. Looks to currently be the best deal.

Yes, price at Amazon went up. You can track the price fluctuations at camelx3.

I just clicked the Amazon link again and see it is now available from Woot via Amazon for $138 with free shipping.

I'm just too slow! Amazon link shows $159.99 now! Crap!

Looks like it is $135 at Newegg right now $219 minus $85 with code EMCNJHD66

With all the recent deals on this receiver, I am starting to wonder if it is going to be phased out soon, and if a real big clearance deal is forthcoming. One of the 'Egg reviewers claims he bought it on Black Friday for $90!

Pretty fair deal from the egg however the Bluetooth will cost you $100. that is almost the price of the whole receiver.

In just about all cases, receivers are updated every year. Buying the "old" model at the reduced price is exactly what you want to do, unless you KNOW there is some key new feature you cannot live without.

Well yeah, I know that. That's why I'm wondering if (and hoping that) such a situation is imminent for this particular receiver.

Today is the last day for the New Egg sale - I just grabbed one
