Looks exactly like this one sold by Cabelas but sells for $80. It was on sale a couple of times in the past year for $30. You can search the forum here for "chard" to see those messages. I did buy one then, and it's OK for single servings, but not much more. It does heat up fast. Steel is very thin. The way they show a full basket of french fries in their photo is amusing. If you cooked a batch that size, they would come out like hot, soggy grease sponges. A single layer is all that's possible since the cold food will bring down the oil temperature so much.
A8N7K7X - 15% off code for BN 15% off 1 item. Excludes: Barnes & Noble Memberships, Gift Cards, textbooks, video games, digital content (including but not limited to NOOK Books, magazines, and periodicals), NOOK Color"!, NOOK"!, their related accessories, and other hardware. YMMV with this coupon.

Looks like they took the same unit and stuck (probably via glue) glass to the side of the stainless (yeah...) steel. The manual states that the inner tub is removable but then states never immerse in water. I wonder why (or is it really removable)?
