Question for those who have one: can you stream music from your PC over the network? Feature list doesn't mention it, but I thought there was no harm in checking.
last time I researched one of these it seemed Sony was pulling support on the majority of the apps and this was soon going to be a dead product, many apps already are non-functional. The unit frequently connects to the Sony main server and it will become a brick if Sony drops support.
I have one and use it as an alarm clock. Unfortunately, the Dash is too bright (IMHO) even on the lowest brightness setting. I have to turn the display off completely in order to sleep. If I want to check the time, I have to touch the screen and then darken it again.
If I wake up early, a few steps are required to turn off the alarm. The same steps are required to turn the alarm back on before going to bed.
If I had to do it over again, I would not have purchased a Dash to use an alarm clock. Someday I'll find something simple and with low light display and I'll replace my Dash.

Have one. It is a great alarm clock and can do a lot more, but it's NOT a substitute for a tablet. Can watch Netflix and Hulu Plus on it. Has several internet radio options including Pandora and Slacker radio. Can view internet cams ( penguin, panda, etc) and some other interesting apps. Sound quality is not great, but it can be connected to a stereo to play internet radio. Some internet radios are over $100, and this plays pandora, slacker, and others plus does a lot more.
I have one securing it for $29 a few months back & have no regrets. At $69 I think it's too much to spend. Yes, it streams and a few years back at this pricepoint would've made it a hot toy, but in this day and age it's just a slow performing fixed, non-android, oversized tablet. Has a web browser client added in recent months but it's too slow; once again, would've been a cool novelty years back but not anymore.
