This doesn't have or use a chest strap transmitter. Makes its use somewhat limited. And makes the accuracy suspect. The monitor I have built into my treadmill, which uses finger touch only, is wildly inaccurate.
As a comparison, I have 2 with chest strap transmitters and they work great. One is a Polar and one is an Omron. Both work well and are in line with my blood pressure monitor that cost much much more.
