Invalid argument. DeWalt, Bosch or Ridgid jig saws can run $80-120. Some people -- myself included -- are fine w/ having an inferior, $20 Skil and keeping the balance of cash to spend elsewhere.

Oh so it doesn't actually cut the wood? . . . j/k I've got a Skil Jig Saw that doing just fine for 10+ years . . . but based on the comemnts of (the highly respected) "buster2" I will probably now throw it in the trash and buy a Ridgid What a TOOL!
I've had this saw for about 7 years -- bought it on clearance for $10 at HD. It's been great for the money; no complaints. You don't need an expensive jigsaw to make quality cuts.
