Link to pears. Free shipping code is FREEFSD.

These are the first-quality pears, not the slightly blemished "Mavericks" that occasionally pop up on sale. You get 7-9 in a box.

(If the coupon code doesn't work on the first try, you may have to clear cookies and/or go through a specific affiliate link to get it to "take". I used the link at Chairman Meow's coupons).

Once the coupon appears to be working, then open another window in your browser and go back to H&D through your shopping portal of choice to get your CashBack. FW and eBates both offer 4% back.

They used to be first quality pears. Now you'll be hard pressed to differentiate them from pears you'd find at your supermarket. We had some sent to us, royal rivera (not maverick), and they looked terrible compared to the quality of just a few years ago.

I guess that's one of their cost saving measures, eh?

Maybe just a bad batch? We received some as a gift over the Holidays and they were incredible (never had them before).

Hmmm, guess it's YMMV. I bought multiple boxes as gifts this past Xmas. My family and I ended up eating the better part of two boxes ourselves. Everyone said the pears were fantastic. The pears we ate all looked fine.

A year or two ago, I sent a box of these to my mom. Her front door does not have a doorbell, and she didn't hear the UPS guy leave the package. It snowed heavily that day, and the box got hidden under a drift for the next week, until she discovered it. The pears were unfortunately ruined by being frozen. I called H&D and they rushed her another box at no charge. Excellent customer service.

These pears have been awesome in the past when I've had them, but at even "only" $20 for 9 pears, they aren't worth $2 each to me compared with the pears I get locally. They are also smaller than most pears at the supermarket.
