I have them both and honestly use my Amazon account more for renting (and the occasional purchase) where as Netflix I use for my daily viewing habits. They're both good services, but its really going to depend on what your going to use the service for (once in a while viewing or daily).
I have both and use both (Amazon much less frequently), and I absolutely hate the fact that Amazon doesn't have a Queue for its Prime members. I wouldn't dump Netflix for this sole fact.

Yea, Netflix lets you basically keep the shows/movies you like or may want to watch later in a sort of playlist where you can quickly get to them. Amazon seems to do this for rentals you rent, but not for Prime related shows/movies.

Amazon seems to do this for rentals you rent, but not for Prime related shows/movies. They just added a "watchlist" functionality for Prime instant videos. It coincided with the release of the Xbox 360 app: http://www.gstylemag.com/2012/05/29/amazon-prime-instant-videos-...
You may need to log out of your account in your browser to get it to work for Prime videos.

I like 3 by 5 notecards for store lists, to do's and reminders. Keep a bunch of cards around and a pen. When you rent a movie, note the date and the name and put the card on your refrigerator with a magnet. This is the new high efficiency way of saving a ton of money on electronics. This really works. You can get them from the dollar store.

From the OP....
"This thread is for good Amazon Instant Video Rentals for $.99. I didn't put any movies in the title because Amazon puts movies for $.99 for a few hours or days, and then they go back to $3.99 or whatever."
Amazon hasn't had any good $.99 movies for a while. Does Amazon really think they will get $3.99 when Redbox has recent flicks like Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows and John Carter for a buck and tax?
Princeman said: Amazon hasn't had any good $.99 movies for a while. Does Amazon really think they will get $3.99 when Redbox has recent flicks like Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows and John Carter for a buck and tax?Renting from Amazon doesn't involve 2 car trips to a kiosk using $3.30/gallon fuel.
I've been frustrated by how many of the good $.99 films on Amazon that I've rented (often because they appeared in this thread) show up on Netflix Instant 2-3 months later.

Wait, what? Where are you getting Redbox for $.99 these days? It's $1.20 everywhere I've been recently.

Clearly I don't like driving to get Redbox's, and I guess $1.20 is correct. Hopefully Amazon will start listing good movies for $.99 again soon...

LOL! Some six figure executive vice-president of Instant Video owns what's happening, not Marsilies or anyone in this thread! If the deal goes dry, we'll just find another one! Deals end, Fat Wallet thrives. As in the movie, (guess what one), "We gladly feast on those who would subdue us." Not just pretty words.
