This was $9.99 two days ago AR. And had been $9.99 nearly all of last month (especially for those of us with Shoprunner). They increased the price and are calling it a shell shocker now?

Pass on Zotac rebates. If it's like two years ago, you need to sign up on their website, and also it takes a good while till it comes, after you remind them about it.

I am still waiting for a $30 rebate from Zotac since November last year

Did you try contacting them? The guy who handles Zotac rebate center is very helpful and responds very quick to emails. In fact, they have the fastest response times to emails I have experienced with any company. I emailed twice on two different occasions and he replied both times within 4-6 hours of sending the email.

I am not sure why people say Zotac rebates are bad, completely untrue. I am not sure why you are speculating about rebates you havnt done for 2 years but anyways... I have done 5 Zotac rebates since last October and received 3 of them so far and am waiting for the other 2 which have already been approved. They are reliable. 5/5 is enough evidence to show this.

Also, you have never had to sign up on their website to receive the rebates. They offer slightly faster processing if you register the cards on the site, but it is not a requirement. Most of Zotac rebates these days actually go through 4myrebate.com which is very reliable and efficient.

Out of 5 Zotac rebates completed over the last 2 years:
received: 5/5
late: 5/5
>1 month late (when I call to get it resolved): 2/5

I just got a zotac ITX motherboard rebate yesterday, bought it at Newegg and registered online at zotac on the last black Friday.

Thanks OP. Happen to need a couple of cheapo video cards for some of my office PCs.

Unfortunately, although Newegg claims the deal is limited to "3 per customer," the fine print indicates that you can only get ONE $20 rebate per person, unless you are buying two SLI-capable cards...and this one is not SLI-capable.

I did contact Zotac by phone and was sent to a voicemail after listening music for 5 minutes. I then emailed Zotac with attachment of scanned copy of my original submission (Thank God I did scan it since other people in FW warned about Zotac rebates). Zotac replied in 3 hours and said there was an error to process my claim and check will be sent out tomorrow.

If I did not call/email or lost track of my rebate like thousands of other people, I would have $30 down the drain.

I have no problem getting my rebate from the company.

This ranks poorly. Its worse than built in graphics on old laptops. Pass on 210, 220 etc.

Thanks for the heads up; why would they make new cards slower than old integrated ones?!? Like planned obsolescence isn't sufficient enough to rip off people?

Dont know if its new or simply left over inventory. I suffered from it as I bought a 220 and then I realized it was worse that what it was replacing. I bought 430 couple of weeks ago ($30AR) which is significantly better than this and is still low cost.

A lot of the under $50 cards are slower than the onboard cards of similar vintage motherboards. I grabbed one of the ATI 5570s and it was slower than the onboard video from my $20 mobo.

I can't believe peopel are complaining about the speed of a $10 video card... There is a market for these, usually for people who care nothing about 3D or as replacement cards where 3D is irrelevant. Also they make great cheap diagnostic video cards or loaners for those who fix PCs.

Most of my small business clients are still running Core 2 Duo machines with integrated GMA graphics under XP Pro. Video cards like these would be considered an upgrade for them. In situations like my accountant, they have a need to run dual monitor which on-board video can only handle one monitor. While they could pick up the more expensive ~$100 Quadro NVS cards for dual monitor support, these $10AR cards seem to perform the job just fine.
